Handset Theft GPS Monitoring App

This application allows users to track a mobile device if it is stolen by sending GPS location data to an internet portal. The portal records the last 2, 4, 6, or 24 hours of location data, so if the device is stolen the user can see where it was taken from and its current location. The application was built for Android 2.3.3 using Eclipse IDE, the Android SDK, and JDK 1.6. It requires at minimum an Android device, 1GB RAM, 40GB hard disk, and a 2GHz processor to function.

HANDSET THEFT MONITORING

ABSTRACT:
The Handset Theft Monitoring application is useful when the hand set or the
mobile device is robbed by someone. This application will give the information when
the mobile was robbed regarding in which location it is through GPS.
This application is being built on Android 2.3.3. This is built by the assistance
of Eclipse IDE with ADT plug-in configured with android SDK for windows.
Existing System:
There is no existing application available like this to provide the information of
a handset after robbed regarding the location of the handset.
Proposed System:
This application sends the GPS-position of the device up to an internet portal.
The last 2/4/6/24 hours are recorded. In case of a theft of the device, you can view
where it was stolen and where the device is/was.
