For my learning stations, I chose to do the subject of psychology. For my first station,
students had flashcards of the Aspects of Life Span development with the term on one side and
the definition one the other. The students were required to go through the flashcards as a group.
My second station dealt with the same subject but instead of definitions, they were giving
scenarios they had to match up with the term on a worksheet. My third station really had them
work together. Students were to work together and brainstorm ideas on how they learn in
everyday life. In my last station students had to sketch a poster showing awareness of a mental
disorder.
I incorporated the standards by having the students work together. Having them work
together, in my opinion, helped them understand what they were learning about. The only station
they really didnt work together on was the last one and I incorporated the standard by having
them make an awareness poster because the standard said that the students needed to know
awareness of mental disorders.
I incorporated Blooms by having the students show me that they understand what the
lessons were. I also had my students solve problems and really apply their knowledge. For
example, they had to apply their own previous knowledge and really had them think when I
asked them to brainstorm ideas of ways you learn in everyday life.
I think having the students work together worked well. That way they could bounce ideas
off of each other and help each other.
If I were in a classroom with 25 students, the main thing I would revise is how the groups
were set up. I would have counted students off by four and had them go to their stations
according to their number. I would have explained each station first, then let them being. I also

would have given them more time without me guiding them. I also would have been walking
around the room to make sure students are on task and that they understand what they are
supposed to be doing.
I collected some of the work that the students did and I want to use those assignments to
use in my portfolio. I think it will show a couple different things. One is that I really put thought
and effort into this and the other is improvement after I possibly do another assignment like this
one.
