Should we have Zoos?

Learning Targets:
We can identify a topic that causes or has caused a debate in society
We can choose a side of an argument and identify reasons that support a claim
We can determine the credibility of a source (who wrote it, when it was written, and why it was
written)
We can support an argument with textual evidence found in credible sources
We can present our argument in a formal style
We can include an introduction with a thesis statement, supporting details, a counterclaim opposing
the other sides argument, and provide a concluding statement that supports our argument
