Social Representation in Street Culture Magazine

This magazine represents young people who enjoy street culture, including listening to rap music, wearing branded clothing like Nike and Adidas, and hanging out with friends. It aims to represent both sexes and all races by including stories that appeal to a variety of interests, rather than focusing on only one group.

Q2. How does your media product

represent particular social groups?
My magazine represents a young social group that lives the street life growing up
listening to rap music wearing branded clothing such as Nike and Addidas. It
represents people that love baggy clothing wearing there hat low and there hood
high. People that prefer to hang round on the streets, seeing their mates learning
how to survive in this world instead of staying in playing on the internet. One of the
other images is of a young woman showing it represents both sexes. To show it
represents all races it includes stories about interests of all races not aiming it at
one race and their interests.
