Chronos Advanced Gesture Engine Overview

The Chronos Advanced Gesture Engine (CAGE) uses a Texas Instruments eZ430-Chronos wrist watch with an MSP430 CPU, radio, and sensors to enable gesture control of desktop applications via an AppleScript interface. The project currently allows for stable wrist watch to desktop connection, gesture recording and playback, and recognition using two different recognizers. Future work includes improving gesture recognition, refining the user interface, and packaging the software. Overall, CAGE aims to bring intuitive gesture-based interfaces popularized in science fiction to mainstream users.
