GIMMIE DIE
Or
The Rush to Utopia
Congratulations America! We now own the biggest debt in our nation’s history. Just what the doctor ordered… pun intended. How
did we get to this point? Actually, that’s a rhetorical question because to me, it’s obvious how we got here. Humor me. Allow me to
share my views.
Long ago, those we now call socialists decided to blame evil monarchs for all the poverty and suffering in the world. In reality, it was
the power to impose confiscatory taxes was the real evil. After the monarchs were dismissed, the evil, filthy rich corporations became
the target of the elitist. The reasoning was that the corporations hoarded huge profits and paid only a pittance to the workers that made
it all possible. It was actually a case of coveting what others had. Forget the investment and risk that goes along with ownership, that
part was never mentioned. Forget the many business failures which greatly outnumber the successes. Forget the fact that much
needed jobs were created. The concept of sharing in the profits was their hook into the working class, but they never suggested in
sharing in the losses. Now that would be true partnership. Forget the fact that most people were already poor at the onset of the
industrial revolution because of the prevalent agrarian lifestyle subject to drought, infestations, overbearing taxes, etc. The stated goal
was to take from those that had developed much wealth and redistribute it to those who had none. In reality, property was seized by
the cruel political powers created by this revolutionary philosophy and they kept it for themselves. They proved to be far crueler than
the monarchs. Once this had been accomplished, the condition of the poor became a secondary priority and maintaining power
became the top priority. Holding on to power became a bloody business which was very unpopular with world opinion. Millions of
“poor people” were eliminated because what they were promised (hope and change) wasn’t what they were receiving and they had the
audacity to complain about it. This, in part, led to the creation of the two great curtains in our recent history; the iron and the bamboo
curtains. Naturally, transparency wouldn’t do.
As this philosophy of redistribution of power (oops, I mean wealth) moved westward, violent ways were abandoned in favor of a tried
and proven strategy; confiscatory taxation, that they had learned from the monarchs they displaced. Unlike violent force, taxation was
a more subtle and passive means of stealing wealth; deception verses force. And besides, the individual could now be taxed as well as
the corporations. It was “No taxpayer left behind.” Of course, the poorest among us are still in great demand for their propaganda
value. For this purpose, a huge welfare system was created so that we would never have a shortage of disadvantaged po’ folks. This
also allowed socialists to perpetuate the same accusations against critics that served their movement so well in the past.
In addition to the poor, however, the American version of socialism (liberalism) added more and more categories to the list of victims
of corporate and conservative greed. There were the workers, the unemployed, teachers, the uneducated, the handicapped, the
uninsured, the aged, the young, obese children, starving children, smokers, non-smokers and so on. The list is endless. And of course,
social programs became the answer to everything. It became almost automatic that every program that could be dreamt up was
justified and anyone who criticized this policy was obviously a racist, anti-youth, anti education, anti-health, anti-poor, anti-
everything, hateful homophobe, and greedy to boot. We were led to believe that we owed everything to everyone; houses, university
educations, food to lazy people, pensions beginning at age 50 to union employees. It was gimme, gimme, gimmie. The entire scheme
was a ruse to take more and more away from everyone. How dare you suggest the money you earn belongs only to you!
Well, after billions upon billions of dollars (which we never really had) were wasted, our debt grew into the trillions where it is today
and there is only one problem with all this; our nation is bankrupt. Our federal government, state governments, county governments,
and city governments are still taking the position that the problem is not enough taxes. They still can’t accept that Gimme died. Do
the math. Mathematically speaking, it’s over.
The plan all along has been to bankrupt the nation, declare a national crisis, suspend the Constitution, declare marshal law and form a
new government. Don’t be fooled, it is an obvious plan dreamed up in hell itself. And it’s been possible to deceive so many only
because the country has been deceived into becoming increasingly immoral in the name of personal freedom to do anything,
anywhere, anytime. It is only God’s Word which protects our minds against deception and gives us, instead, discernment.
When the truth of God’s word is ignored in favor of smooth sounding arguments, the outcome is inevitable. It is no coincidence that
as America became more and more “liberal;” God became less and less relevant. The ban on school prayer, abortion on demand, the
myth that nativity scenes violate the separation of church and state (which is not even a law, only a concept), these are just a few

examples of the trade-offs America made. This led to the moral degradation which is evident in the increase in homosexuality, the
decline in marriage as a cherished institution, the tolerance of pornography, increase in child abuse, dishonesty and corruption in
business and government, the breakdown of civility in our schools and society at large. This is just the tip of the iceberg. Boy
Scouts are vilified by liberal groups such as the ACLU for maintaining a valid moral standard, while NAMBLA is defended by the
ACLU, declaring a Constitutional right to exist and to be heard. Go figure. The scriptures clearly warn us that in the “Last Days,”
good will be called evil and evil will be called good. We are definitely there.
For those that don’t see the connection between the moral state of a nation and its economic condition, consider this. In the Epistle of
3 John, verse 2 (NIV), the scripture says, “Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even
as your soul is getting along well.” It clearly shows that God does not bless nor protect an individual or a nation beyond the level of
their moral condition. A morally degenerate society produces economic ruin.
Our nation is in a seriously dangerous state and it is being governed by deeply deceived individuals. Their intentions are as evil as
their philosophy and it is the responsibility of those that understand God’s ways to speak out in confidence and without fear. We must
commit ourselves to a moral lifestyle, practice sound economics, and as the scriptures instruct us, be prepared to contend for the faith;
always. If you value your God-given freedom, then it becomes imperative that we all develop a new mindset and insist that our
national leaders return to the basics. Remember the words of Vince Lombardi, the late coach of the Green Bay Packers, after a
humiliating loss. On the next practice day after the loss, he gathered his team and told them they were going to get back to the basics.
He then showed them a football saying, “Gentlemen, this is a football.” In the same way we must insist that our leaders run
government the way government was meant to be run; fiscally responsible, defend the nation, and provide law and order for the sake
of a peaceful, productive society. Beyond that, the presence of government should leave a minimal footprint in our lives.
This phenomenon called socialism is a massive scheme that all freedom-loving people should soundly reject. Those rushing to find
Utopia might as well be searching for the Fountain of Youth, The Seven Cities of Cibola, or The Land of Oz, because Utopia doesn’t
exist anymore than the others.
