Psychology is the science that studies human behaviour and mental processes, and it has
become one of the richest fields of scholarly and scientific research. The BA in psychology
deals with the fundamentals of psychology - how we learn, communicate and interact with
one another - preparing you for graduate studies in psychology, in health sciences, in

Residence Information
The University of Ottawa is home to nearly 3,000 full-time students living in four
conventional residences, two traditional plus residences, two apartment-style residences,
one residence featuring two-room suites, and one residence of studios. Residences are
furnished and include Internet and cable. While there are kitchenettes in each residence,
convenient meal plans can be purchased. Residences are co-ed, though some floors are
reserved for women. Many people live in double rooms. Almost all offers of admission into
first year in September come with residence. If you are a first-year student living in Stanton,
Thompson, Marchand, Leblanc or 90 University, you will be charged for a mandatory, 5-day
meal plan (non-refundable, non-transferable and non-interchangeable) along with your
University fees on your student account. Once you have paid the first installment of this
mandatory meal plan, you may upgrade your meal plan
