Her diagnosis upon admission was suspected acute appendicitis, which was confirmed as suppurated acute appendicitis. She underwent laboratory tests which found her hemoglobin and hematocrit levels normal, while her white blood cell count was elevated with a differential count showing increased neutrophils.
