An evening shooting in Minneapolis left one person dead. Police responded to a shooting at Lake Street East and Clinton Avenue South just before 6:30 PM and found a younger adult male deceased from an apparent gunshot wound. It is believed the victim was involved in an altercation with at least one other person before the shooting. The Minneapolis Police Homicide Unit is investigating but have no suspects in custody currently. Anyone with information is asked to call the police tip line.

Evening shooting leaves one dead on south side

March 17, 2010 (MINNEAPOLIS) Just before 6:30 tonight officers in the Third
Precinct responded to a shooting at Lake Street East and Clinton Avenue South.
When officers arrived at the scene they found a younger adult male deceased from
an apparent gunshot wound. It is believed that an altercation between the victim
and at least one other person preceded the shooting.

The Minneapolis Police Homicide Unit is investigating this case. There are no
suspects in custody at this point. Anyone with information about this case is asked
to call the TIPS Line at 612-692-TIPS (8477).

The Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office will identify the victim and determine
the cause of death.

regarding this case until 10 pm tonight and then after 7 am tomorrow morning. The
