This document shows population data for each U.S. state from 1990 to 2000, including the percent change in population, numeric change, 1990 population, and 2000 population. The overall population of the United States grew 13.2% during this period, an increase of over 32 million people bringing the total 2000 population to over 281 million. States with the highest percentage growth rates included Nevada at 66.3%, Arizona at 40%, Colorado at 30.6%, and Utah at 29.6%.
