Case Study on Parental Grief After Suicide

This research progress report summarizes a multiple case study on parents who lost their child to suicide. The researchers aim to understand the experience, thoughts, feelings, and environment of parents who have endured such a loss. To date, the researchers have developed a time frame plan, revised their documents, conducted an ocular survey, contacted respondents, planned data gathering activities, formulated questionnaires which were approved by their adviser, and held group discussions. They have begun data gathering through semi-structured interviews and are currently transcribing the gathered data. Challenges encountered include financial difficulties and scheduling availability between the researchers and co-researcher, though they have addressed these issues. The report was prepared by the nursing researcher and approved by the research adviser
