Task
1. Form a group in 5 6 members.
2. Visit any welfare or rehabilitation center and carry out some social work for that
particular institution.
3. You have to find the address or contact numbers of the places yourselves.
4. Then, write a report about the experience that you have gained from this visit.
5. Prepare PowerPoint / flash slides presentation based on the experience that you
have gained while conducting the social work with your friends.
6. Please follow all the rules and regulations set by the institution before and during the
visit.
7. You are required to bring along a Letter of Permission from your lecturer during the
visit.
1. Presentation (15%) duration 10 minutes.
1) Presentation slides should consist of the following info:
a) Edited Video clips recorded during the visit (The video clips must be interesting).
b) Lesson learnt/ Experience gained.

c. information about the social work (duration, distribution of work among

of the place, any difficulties/cooperation faced by the group while carrying
out their social work and etc)
d. interviews with some of the residents from the institution (not to disclose
their particulars or photos)

DEADLINE: Depending on the schedule of your group presentation (starts from Week 9 12).
You have to do presentation on the video together with the submission of the report.

Appendix 1
Writing Guidelines
1. Cover Page must write:
a) Course code and course title
b) Social Work: name of the place you visit (or name of campaign etc)
c) all the members full name and ID no.,
d) Class section
e) Lecturers name
f) Date of submission.
2. Type your report using 12-point font size, with 1.5 spacing between
lines/sentences.
3. Provide page numbering.
4. Use A4 paper.
5. Bind your work using coil or comb binding.
6. Your work will be immediately rejected if you are caught plagiarizing.
7. Please submit the assignment on the date given.
