Description of Proposed Activity:


I am going to be playing in the Chamber Orchestra and Orchestra, as well as Combo
and some other chamber groups. I will be attending rehearsals for these ensembles
each week as well.
Proposed Activity Supervisor:
Ms Keller and Mr Hayles
What challenges and/or new skills will this activity provide?
I will be learning new music and more about different techniques in playing different
genres of music. Some of the challenges will include sight-reading, but I will also be
developing skills in this area that will help me later on in my musical studies. I am also
going to be playing in some chamber ensembles, which will help me develop specific
skills in that area.
What do you want to achieve from your participation in this activity?
More knowledge on more music, more confidence in performing, better technique on my
instruments that comes with practice.
What evidence could be appropriate for this activity?
Logs, reflections on rehearsals, perhaps a video on what we are doing or mp3 of the
pieces we are playing.
Which learning outcomes may be appropriate to reflect on for this activity? (NB You do not
have to meet every outcome for each activity. All eight must be achieved over the duration of the CAS
