Thread Gauging Setting Rings Guide

Setting rings are available in hardened and stabilized steel or tungsten carbide. Steel setting rings are available in diameters from 3mm to 300mm and have undergone sub-zero treatment for stability, while tungsten carbide rings only come in diameters from 4mm to 60mm. The permissible deviation from the nominal diameter and required roundness for setting rings are specified according to diameter range in micrometers. The actual diameter marked must be within the specified deviation limit.
