Relative clauses 1: clauses with who/that/which Look at this example sentence: The woman who lives next door is a doctor. lative A clause isa part of a sentence. A relative clause tells us which person or thing (or wha person or thing) the speaker means: 1D The woman who lives next door .... Relative clauses 5: extra information clauses (2) Prepositions + whomiwhich You can wse a preposition before whom (For people) and which (for things So you ean say to whom / with whom / about which / without whieh etc. [© Mr Lee, to whom I spoke at the meeting, is very interested in our proposal. Fortunately we had a map, without which we would have gor lost. In informal English we often keep the preposition after the verb in the relative clause.
