Greetings!
In response to your directives in the last weeks meeting, appended is our short
report on improving facilities in our school for a better student experience.
These are merely our findings and are certainly not comprehensive. Suggestions
marked (*) can be looked into on priority. Should you desire, our classmate, ABC
who has a facilities background can do a joint audit with our GM Admin for a more
comprehensive listing.

Report: Improvements to School facilities for an enhanced student
experience

Introduction
This report is with a purpose of suggesting some improvements to facilities at
school for a better student experience. We undertook a quick survey of the campus
and came up with this list.
Suggested improvements areas

IT

Intranet and program pages for all streams


Student-friendly user IDs for accessing intranet and program pages
IT infrastructure needs urgent updates (*)

Classrooms
o Better public address (PA) systems for faculty and student stations
o Modifying seating to be ergonomic
o Provision of flipcharts and whiteboards (in some rooms the projection
screens overlap whiteboards *)
o IT infrastructure in classes
Digital library access with top tier projections
Intranet and online access to all classrooms

Library
o Vetting quality of books to procure current, relevant titles (*)

Providing 24x7 access (*)


Digitalizing the library

Common areas
o Drinking water fountains to provide warm water
o Washroom hygiene needs immediate improvement (*)
o Canteen
Affordability with a bill of fare
Acceptance of plastic money
o Common areas to accessible up to 1130 pm for informal student
project discussions
o Cat(s) on campus can be a menace and harbor communicable diseases

o Reprographic facilities should be available to students on all floors
o Breakout rooms for student engagement can be carved out of some
empty spaces

Recommendation
All facilities should be duly maintained with sacrosanct maintenance schedules for
the longevity of our assets.
