Career Objective
My immediate goal is to transition from a seasoned professional in the airline industry to an engaged and people oriented
instructor in the academic arena. I bring with me years of experience in customer service, problem solving and crisis
management all crucial classroom skills. I have the desire, discipline and determination to become a successful educator,
bringing with me the global knowledge and experience I have acquired through my current career. Additionally, I offer my
grasp and command of the new technical skills I am acquiring on the masters level in educational technology.

Alaska Airlines, Seattle, Washington: May 1992 present
Responsible for all aspects of customer service and in-flight safety. Knowledge of onboard safety equipment and
emergency procedures. Responsible for the safety and security of unaccompanied minors. Successful completion of
annual FAA mandatory training course and recertification. Interviewing and training of newly hired flight attendants.
The Spring Independent School District, Houston, TX: January 2008 June 2008
Served as an on-call substitute teacher, often times accepting teaching assignments the night before the class.
Executed lesson plans across K-6 curriculum. Learned that I love teaching.
