3com Router Setup Guide

To setup a 3com router with dynamic configuration, one must first login to the router using the default IP address of 192.168.1.1 and password of "admin". Then go through the wizard to select the location as Cairo, connection as PPPoE, and encapsulation as LLC. Input the provided username and password, VPI of 0 and VCI of 35. Leave the default IP address, subnet mask, and turn on the DHCP server. Finally, save the configuration and ensure the internet settings connection type is set to always connected.

How to setup 3com Router [Dynamic Configuration]

Login into the router with [Link]


The default password is: admin

Chose Welcome and then click Wizard


And Write admin in Current Password and New Password

And then Choose Cairo

And then Choose PPPoE

Type the Username and Password as shown above


And then VPI: 0 VCI: 35
And then Encapsulation: LLC

And then we will leave the


IP Address: [Link] and Subnet Mask: [Link] as default.
DHCP Server will be set to On

And then we will leave the the Channel: 11 and SSID: [Link] as default.

And then click Apply to Save the configuration .

Then click choose the internet settings and press on Edit button

And be sure that Connect Type is set to Always Connected as shown above
