ASE2000 Installation and Simulation Guide

1 Install ASE2000

Follow instruction in file [Link]


2 Setup parameters
a Press [Ctrl + T] and select IEC870-5-101
b Select Menu Properties then select Communication
Channel Select COM port for channel A Line Carrier: Constant, Baud Rate: 9600
c Select Menu Properties then select Communication
Exchange DL Addr: 254, Comm Addr:254 Asynch Data Length: 8, Stop Bits: 1, Parity: Even
3 Connect and simulate
a Connect procedure
Reset Link: Select Reset Link in Exchange List and click [Send Once] tab on Toolbar
Link Status: Same as above
Interrogation: Same as above
b Simulation
After connecting successfully click [Simulate Master] button on Toolbar to simulate IEC101
View values
Signals (status, event, measurement) will be displayed on Point Values window
(can show it by selecting in View menu)
Send command
Stop Simulate Master
Select command type in Exchange List
-Double Cmd SBO for CB, DS control
-Regulating Step Cmd SBO for TAP control
Example below for DS control
Set Object Adress, Value: 2 to Close, 1 to Open
Close Edit Exchange Properties Window
Send Command by clicking [Send One] button on Toolbar
Carrier: Constant, Baud Rate: 9600
Data Length: 8, Stop Bits: 1, Parity: Even IEC101 Link, Common, Transmission: 1, Object Addr: 2
