Bugzilla [Link]

Whenever a bug is flled there is some default parameters set which the reporter
needs to fll related to the bug being flled. Among these felds there is default &
custom felds set in our existing bugzilla setup.
Parameter - Defect !pe
"t#s a custom feld$ we have setup some feld values so as to capture the defect
t!pes in our s!stem. "t indicates how severe the problem is % from bloc&er '(application
unusable() to trivial '(minor *osmetic issue(). +ou can also use this feld to indicate whether
a bug is an enhancement re,uest.
here is a some classifcation made to identif! the bug t!pe. Which are %
Critical
"f the bug found crashes the program- it#s probabl! a [Link] or a critical bug
Defect
"f the bug found the program/application- is something prett! minor ma! be some t!po
issues/wrong deplo!ment etc
Enhancement
"f it#s something !ou would li&e to see implemented- then that#s an enhancement
Change Request
hin la!er between /nhancement & *hange 0e,uest- onl! di1erence is it#s used
[Link]! for activities which are re,uire tool **0 lin&ing.
Workfow
A [Link] running and needs to get trac&ing among teams & send updates then
this feld is used.
Clarifcation
esting team use this feld [Link]! to understand if an! clarifcation the! re,uire
from developer to understand the feature while testing.
Estimation
2sed 3! Dev. An activit! planned/assigned to Developer for which the! need some
timeline estimation. his feld helps them to calculate that.
Task
An activit! assigned to developer for which he needs trac&ing instance chec&%ins-
some defnition related to it. he! use this feld.
