Syllabus Introduction to 3-D Printing and its Ppplications
Course Description: Throughout this course I will be introducing 3-D printing and its real world applications. There will be hands on learning, mixed with textual information in order to gain knowledge on how 3-D printing works. We will be using computer-aided design software throughout this course in order to create designs to print. This course is meant to expose you to the phenomenon known as 3-D printing.
Course Objectives Learn basics on 3-D printing o How it works o Advantages o Limitations o How to utilize a 3-D printer Learn how to use CAD (Computer-aided design) software o Basic design functions o Create designs using tutorials and guidance Learn about different real life applications (an attempt to guide you to a future field of study) o Engineering applications o Medicinal applications o Other real world applications.
