The effects of social media based brand communities on brand loyalty
Sampling
In order to examine the effects of social media based brand communities on brand loyalty we used convenience sampling for our survey. Surveys were distributed among the respondents belonging to Lahore city. We obtained a total of 150 usable responses. The sample of respondents consisted of both males and females with age ranging between 20 to 50+ years. Our unit of analysis consisted of students from various universities across Lahore e.g. Lahore School of Economics, Lahore University of Management Sciences, Beaconhouse National University & Forman Christian College. Students, who had access to internet and were involved in social media were taken as the sample. Help was taken from close friends and peers in distributing the questionnaires in different universities. The survey would help us in understanding the importance of online brand communities for the companies and whether online presence of brands effect the level of brand loyalty. Also, the survey would help us in identifying the level of customers involvement in brand communities thus pointing out the ways in which the companies could effectively use their social media based brand communities to increase customer involvement. All the data collected was compiled and executed through the software SPSS v21.
