Are we persuading, informing or entertaining our reader.
Drafting
Students will begin to write in the drafting process. This is their first attempt at getting their ideas for their writing onto paper.
Using their own words Making paragraphs or chapters, depending on how they want their writing presented.
Revising
Here we begin to make our story better than before. TAG is a great concept to get students actively involved in the revising process.
T: tell what you like A: ask a question G: give a suggestion
TAG encourages higher thinking
Proof Reading
Make corrections to our revisions. Pay close attention to grammar usage and mechanics as well as overuse of certain words. Be sure sentences are properly punctuated.
Publishing
Students can publish their stories in a variety of ways:
Sharing it with classmates, reading aloud Typing their story up and binding it Drawing illustrations for their story and putting corresponding piece of story under picture
