Question

City pipelines are constructed from different materials. Polymers are widely used for this purpose because of their suitable and low construction prices, they have good properties for molding and shaping. Polyurethane and high density polyethylene (HDPE) are two of them and widely used in real city pipelines. However does they keep the inside temperature effectively? Especially outside temperature is low; when water comes out from tap, it effects human body and also effects the energy consumption for heating up the hot water. Which parameters effect the inside temperature and in which way? Investigate these cases if pressure of city pipeline is known as approximately 3bar [1].
