Nursing Skills Observation Checklist

Checklists provide a simple yes or no method for recording whether characteristics or actions are present or absent. In nursing, checklists can be used to evaluate performance skills by dividing them into specific actions. Checklists are useful not only for evaluating procedures but also for evaluating products. OBSERVATIONAL CHECK LIST

Checklist is basically a method of recording whether a characteristic is present or absent or whether an action had or hadnot taken place. Thus, it provides a simple yes-No judgement. In Nursing, check list are useful in evaluating performance skills that can be divided into a series of specific actions. In addition to its use in procedure evaluation, the check list can also be used to evaluate products.

Check list for evaluationg students performance during surgical dressing, directions : mark yes or no to indicate whether skills has been demonstrated.
