Finished Size: About 4 tall Materials: 1 sk each of Valley Yarns Amherst (100% merino, 109 yds/50g) colors light gray and powder pink US size 5 (3.75 mm) double pointed needles scraps of black

Gauge: about 5 sts = 1 in stockinette stitch Abbreviations: k / p: knit / purl k2tog: knit 2 together. sl1-k2tog-psso: slip 1 st as if to knit, k2tog, pass slipped st over the k2tog ssk: slip 2 sts, one by one, as if to knit, insert tip of left needle up into both sts and knit them together st(s): stitch(es) Body: For stuffing, with gray, loosely wind a ball of yarn about 8 around. Cut yarn. With gray, cast on 8 sts and join in the round. Work in stockinette stitch, increasing 8 sts evenly every other round until you have 40 sts. Knit 10 rounds. Sew in all loose ends so far and insert ball of yarn into the body. Top of body will be knit around the ball. Continuing in stockinette stitch, decrease 8 sts evenly every other round until you have 8 sts. Cut yarn and draw through remaining stitches. Outer Ears: With gray, cast on 7 sts. Rows 1, 3, 5, 7 (WS): Purl. Rows 2, 4, 6 (RS): Knit. Row 8: K1, ssk, k1, k2tog, k1. Row 9: Purl. Row 10: K1, sl1-k2tog-psso, k1. Cut yarn and draw through remaining sts. Inner Ears: With pink, cast on 3 sts. Rows 1, 3, 5 (WS): Purl. Rows 2 and 4 (RS): Knit. Row 6: Bind off. Finishing: Sew inner ears to outer ears. Sew ears to body. Embroider eyes with black and nose/mouth with pink. Bury all ends within the body.
