North Hampton Library Meeting Minutes

The trustees of the North Hampton Public Library met on September 21, 2012 to discuss finalizing the building program draft for their library expansion. They decided to discontinue working with the consultant who created the initial draft, and have the library director and another trustee complete the final version instead. At their next meeting, they will review the updated space designations and area plans in the building program before presenting it to architects. They also agreed to have a library representative attend the town's upcoming visioning sessions in late September and early October.

Minutes of September 21, 2012


1. Call to Order: Susan Leonardi, and Director Susan Grant were present. Kelly Parrot attended via conference call. The meeting was called to order at 9:30am. 2. Librarians Report: Building Program: Discussed the current Building Program draft created by Thomas Ladd. Susan Grant and Kelly Parrot have revised the draft and have been working on incorporating more concrete recommendations for area designations and including the most recent figures in the document for additional library space. We agreed that the library has the time and resources to finalize the Building Program. Kelly Parrot made a motion to discontinue Thomas Ladds services. Susan Leonardi seconded the motion. Kelly Parrot will contact Ladd. Resources: Susan Grant suggests viewing Building Programs from local libraries including Durham Public Library [Link]/durham/[Link] and Madbury Public Library [Link]/[Link] New Business: Next meeting, we will review the final space markups and area designations of the Building Program for architects and establish the building committee. September 29, October 6th: This is the Towns visioning sessions. We will have a representative of the library attending. 3. Determine Date/Time for next meeting: Next meeting will be from 4-6pm on September 30, 2012. Meeting adjourned at 10:00am.
