Hangout + Silent Writing

Hangout + Silent Writing is the backbone of the group. This is where both build a community of writers and also take time to connect with our writing. **At 1pm:** People will start gathering in the coffee shop. This is an opportunity to meet other writers, introduce yourselves, and just chat it up! Discuss your writing or your favorite book or why your bus ride was extra interesting today. (What else inspires our writing than the stories we witness?) **At 1:30pm:** We will begin an hour of silent work. This is when we pull out laptops or notebooks or whatever and begin working. Whether you're working on a novel or a screenplay or a piece of flash fiction, this is your chance to dedicate one solid hour to just engaging with it. Before the hour starts, I will call everyone's attention and do a round of check-ins where we share our intentions for the hour. **At 2:30pm:** The hour of silent work is over! I will call everyone's attention again and we will check-out by sharing how the hour went for us. After check-out, people may choose to continue working away. If you're really in the groove, I encourage this! Otherwise, people may go back to chatting and discussing their writing, etc. You may also decide to head out if you have other Sunday activities to get to. **Location:** We will be meeting at the Wave Art Collective in Lower Haight. They have both indoor and outdoor seating so plan accordingly. On Sundays, they graciously open up their space to the community. They run a small coffee shop and invite pop-up food vendors. I can guarantee there will always be coffee, but I cannot guarantee what food will be there. Everyone is encouraged to purchase what they can to help support the Wave Art Collective!

Trinket Making Decompression

**Junk Journal and Trinket Making** ✨ Saturday June 13, 3:30–5:00 pm at Temescal Library. We’ll have sharing materials for junk journaling whether you’ve journaled before or want to try. We’ll also have items for trinket making: key chains, beads, charms, ribbons and other bits to play with. Bring your journal supplies or we’ll have a share pile: stickers, notebooks and paper scraps. We’ll also have a trinket making share pile: magnets, hair clips, key chains, broken jewelry, single earrings, weird tiny objects, all the little monsters hiding in your drawers. These crafts are a way for us to recharge and share space with kind people who care. You’re welcome to bring any art or craft project you’ve been wanting to make!

Meet to draw each other in San Francisco!

Take a turn modeling (nude) then just draw for the rest of the session. Looking forward to seeing old and new friends! Optional $10 donation to cover studio rent is suggested but not required. We will supply chairs but bring your own drawing materials, such as pencil, paper, and drawing board if you have one. (No oil paints, solvents, or fixative inside the building.) SF Columbarium!

The SF Columbarium funeral home is a special place where remains are stored. This area was originally a cemetery and over the years the houses and businesses have closed in on the property. The central dome is an amazing collection of stained glass, tiled Flores and four levels of interesting art and niches. The outside is a gorgeous building . We will meet at the office at 10 am. Mandalorian and Grogu In Person Meetup

Let's meet up (in person) to talk about the Mandalorian and Grogu movie! Come on over and let us know what you thought about the newest Star Wars movie since the Before Times. If you have seen it once, twice, or more, we're excited to hear everyone's thoughts. We'll meet up at the Patriot House in Embarcadero Center.
