If I was running a solar company, here’s how I’d increase my leads by 3x. First, I’d stop doing what 90% of solar companies are doing wrong. Buying cold data lists. Running ads with stock images. Sending traffic to a homepage that looks like a Yellow Pages listing. Then whinging that their “lead quality” is terrible. If your pipeline is full of ghosts, it’s not the market, it’s your system. Here’s how I’d fix it: 1. Stop buying leads. Build your own. Every “exclusive” solar lead you buy has been resold ten times. They’ve already had five phone calls before you even get to them. Instead, create a simple funnel that generates your leads: → Ads → Landing Page → CRM → Instant follow-up. You’ll spend the same money, but you’ll own the data. forever. 2. One clear offer. Not ten. “Free quote” doesn’t mean anything anymore. “See how much your roof could save you in 60 seconds” does. Give them one reason to click and one outcome to expect. 3. Proper landing page. With no tabs, no menus, no distractions. Just one message, one action, and one goal. The top sells: headline, proof, and a short form. The bottom reassures: reviews, photos, results. If people have to scroll to understand what to do next, you’ve already lost them. 4. Call fast or don’t bother. If you’re not following up within five minutes, someone else already is. Speed = conversions. Set up automation: email, SMS, call queue > done. 5. Retarget smart. Most people don’t convert the first time, remind them. Show installs, customer videos, testimonials, quotes, savings calculators. Build familiarity until they book the call. 6. Measure what actually drives £££. Not likes. Not clicks. Booked calls, cost per call, and show-up rate. Solar isn’t a hard sell. It’s a systems problem, and until the offer, page, and process align, you’ll keep blaming “bad leads” while your ad spend quietly bleeds out. When you engineer the system properly... your calendar fills itself. If you want to see how we build that kind of system > content + ads + landing pages = booked calls, then we've got some time in the diary this week! https://lnkd.in/e9GGciJa

Small tweaks in your sales script can turn “no thanks” into qualified sales calls. We reviewed a client’s outbound calls, made five key adjustments, and saw a 20% boost in engagement. Here’s what worked: 1. Start with a Permission-Based Opener Jumping straight into the pitch made prospects feel cornered, often leading to resistance. What We Changed: We switched to a permission-based opener like, “Hey, this is (name) from (company), we haven’t spoken before, I’m calling you out of the blue, but it'll take me 30 seconds to tell you why I called and then you can tell me if you even want to keep talking after that, does that sound fair” This gave prospects control and set a respectful tone. Prospects felt more comfortable and engaged when they had the option to continue, leading to smoother, more productive conversations. 2. Use “You” Instead of “We” The scripts were too brand-focused with “we” and “our” statements, making it sound impersonal. Shifting to “you” language made a huge difference. Instead of “We offer the best solution,” we said, “You deserve a solution that actually fits.” Prospects felt the call was about them, not us. 3. Add Specific Social Proof Generic claims weren’t cutting it. Instead of “We’ve helped hundreds,” we got specific: “Last quarter, we helped [X industry] achieve [result].” Specifics boosted credibility and helped prospects see the potential value for themselves. 4. Ask Open-Ended Questions Closed questions led to dead-ends. We replaced “Do you struggle with [problem]?” with “What challenges are you facing with [problem]?” This invited prospects to share more, making the conversation richer and helping us respond better. 5. Frame Price with Value Mentioning price early often scared people off. Instead, we tied price to benefits: “With an investment of $X, you can achieve [result].” Positioning price in correlation to perceived value kept the conversation moving forward. These small changes led to big improvements in qualified booked appointments. ___________________________________ Follow Dylan Rich for more tips on scaling your sales team

These 3 strategies helped my client start generating qualified leads consistently. When the client first came to me, they were facing a few serious problems: * They were sending cold emails and even getting some replies, but *calls were not getting booked* * Their personal brand was almost invisible on LinkedIn, instagram. * Their sales pipeline was nearly empty So we decided to change the entire approach. Instead of doing random outreach, we built a simple but strategic system. Here are the 3 strategies we implemented: 1️⃣ Targeted Cold Email Outreach We identified the right prospects and sent highly personalized emails. This wasn’t basic outreach we used deep research and multiple outreach strategies to reach the right decision-makers. 2️⃣ Personal Brand Content Strategy We built the client’s personal brand on LinkedIn through strategic content. Every small detail was optimized as if the client’s business was our own. 3️⃣ Smart Follow-Ups Instead of pushing sales, we focused on building conversations. Our follow-ups were creative, thoughtful, and strategically timed. Result in the first 30 days: 📅 3 Qualified Sales Calls Booked 📈 Sales opportunities created 🤝 2 Referrals from the same happy client But the most interesting part? The client initially paid only the setup fee. They were unsure if results would come or not. So I told them: “Just pay the setup fee for now. You can pay the remaining amount only after results start coming.” We even agreed on a 15% profit-sharing model. I was confident in my skills and the system we were building and it paid off. Not only did the client start booking calls through *cold email*, they also began receiving *inbound leads through their LinkedIn content and personal brand.* So now the system works on both sides: * Outbound leads through cold email * Inbound leads through personal brand content And that combination is what turned their pipeline around. Cold email + personal branding together can become a powerful client acquisition system when done the right way.

Sometimes, life pauses projects, and reengineering brings them back to life - especially when it helps cut the cost of a solar PV project by 42%. Almost all issues with stalled projects are tied to financial models. By achieving a 42% discount compared to 2019 costs, we were able to revive a previously frozen project. While even smaller cost reductions could have done the job, this significant improvement is sustainable and still allows suppliers to maintain high service quality. With limited funding, creative solutions are essential. This wasn’t our first re-engineering solution and you can even see some previous examples on Google Maps. This time, by re-engineering the project from 2019 designs to 2024 solutions, we reduced project costs by 22%. Then, through strategic procurement, we cut equipment costs by another 20%—most of this came naturally from falling market prices. On top of that, the station’s efficiency increased by almost 8%. For an energy market known for its conservatism, these results are impressive. And the good news? They’re achievable for anyone who invests in proper re-engineering. Here’s a quick checklist to help determine whether your project needs re-engineering or if it’s still up-to-date: 1. Modules: If your project uses solar modules with a capacity below 580-600 W, it’s time to redesign with 610 W - 710 W modules. Higher capacity reduces costs for structures, cabling, and labor. 2. Voltage Levels: If your DC voltage is below 1500 VDC or your inverter AC voltage is below 800 VAC, re-engineering could save significantly on cable costs. 3. Inverters: Consider upgrading to higher-capacity inverters (330 kW is ideal). This reduces the amount of equipment needed, often by several times (not only by decreasing of quantity of inverters but also by ceasing of use of connection boxes). 4. Transformer Stations: If you planned small 1-2 MW transformer stations, look at 3-6-9 MW solutions. Fewer transformer stations mean lower costs and more space. Implementing any of these changes can pay for the re-engineering itself (if not, you’ve been sold an overpriced service). But since these updates typically require a full redesign, it’s better to address them all at once. Most solar companies spend $50–$300 per lead just to get a phone number. There's a $200 product that gets you in the kitchen. It's an energy monitor. You install it in the electrical panel. It shows the homeowner what every appliance in the house is consuming. Real-time. Circuit by circuit. What's my refrigerator costing me? What about the AC? The pool pump? Most homeowners have no idea. Once they see it, the wheels start turning. And that's your opening. Here's how I'd set it up if I still ran a solar company: 1/ Lead with it as a value-add. The hardware runs $150–$200, plus installation. You're not offering it because it's cheap. You're offering it because nothing else gets you inside the home with this much goodwill. You're not pitching solar. You're giving them real data about their own home. Almost nobody says no to that. 2/ Put it in your branded app. This is important. Don't just install the device and leave. Give them a login to your company's app where they can see all their circuit-level data. Now every time they open the app, they see your brand. Your logo. Your other products and services. They're in your ecosystem before they've even thought about solar. 3/ Let the data sell for you. Once a homeowner sees how much they're spending on energy and where it's going, the solar conversation starts from awareness. Not a cold pitch. "You're already spending this much. Here's how to produce your own." That's a completely different conversation than knocking on their door with a proposal. — I installed one in my house. Showed my kids what happens when they leave the lights on. The graph went up. They turned them off. It became real to them. If it works on kids, it works on homeowners. The way I see it: the hardest part of selling solar is getting in the house. A $30,000 system that takes a crew two days to install is a big ask. A $200 device that makes their home smarter? That's a different kind of conversation. Get in the kitchen first. The roof comes later. — Are you using energy monitors as a sales tool? If so, how's it working?

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂'𝗿𝗲 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗰𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗳𝘁𝗼𝗽 𝗱𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘀? It’s not the product. It’s not the pricing. It’s the approach. Too many of us are starting with what. What system. What panel. What ROI. Endless What's. But here's the hard truth— Your client isn’t dreaming about modules and mounting structures. They’re dreaming of: 👨👩👧 More weekends with family 🏠 A better home 📚 A secure future for their kids 💰 Freedom from financial stress 𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗿? It’s not the dream. It’s the enabler. Not paying a monthly electricity bill isn’t just savings—it’s fuel for their future. It could be a SIP, EMI or even down payment for a new car, a tuition payment, or a Diwali trip that finally happens. So next time you meet a prospect, don’t ask: “What system do you need?” Instead, ask: “Why do you want to go solar?” Not the surface-level “to cut costs or save on electricity bill.” Dig deeper. Understand what those savings unlock. That’s your real pitch. Not kilowatts. Not subsidies. But 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆. 🤝 𝗪𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗦𝗢𝗟𝗔𝗥? Rooftop solar sales professionals don’t pitch products anymore. They pitch identity. Alignment. Story. ➡️ 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: Shift from conversion to resonance. Replace jargon with narrative. Start every conversation with the WHY. Then show how solar makes that WHY possible. 👇 What’s that one belief you need to show more to your solar clients? --- ♻️ Share this to help other soalr sales professionals get future-ready. #solar #rooftopsolar #solarsales #closemoredeals

Deals don’t go cold overnight. They fade in five slow steps. Misalignment. New priorities. Lost urgency. Wrong medium. No clear next step. I learned this the hard way. And this 5-point system is how I stopped losing “promising” deals to silence: (without sounding desperate or pushy) 1. Reset with a neutral recap Prospects shut down when you pressure them. They open up when you give them clarity. A clean, factual “Here’s what we agreed on vs what changed” resets the deal logically. Not emotionally. 2. Re-anchor urgency through Cost of Delay Prospects forget pain faster than you think. Internal priorities move. Teams get busy. Anchoring urgency back to loss wakes the deal up again. Not fear tactics - just simple math: “Every month you wait, here’s what you lose.” 3. Introduce a new variable If nothing changes inside the prospect’s head, the deal won’t move. A new insight. A new constraint. A new trigger. One fresh variable flips the mental math. Momentum returns. 4. Change the medium Email is where deals go to die. A short Loom video. A WhatsApp voice note. A LinkedIn message. A 10-minute recap call. Change the channel. Change the energy. Change the outcome. 5. End with a binary forward choice Never end with: “Let me know what works.” It kills momentum. Give a controlled fork in the road. “Q1 or Q2?” “Basic or advanced?” “After demo or after finance loop?” Two options beat ten every time. Stalled deals aren’t a signal to give up. They’re a signal to change the rhythm. This framework has revived deals I thought were gone forever. If your pipeline feels quiet, try this for the next 7 days. Your follow-ups will stop sounding like follow-ups. And deals will start moving again.

How Solar Companies Are Doubling Appointments with One Simple SMS Strategy If you’re in the solar business, you’re probably paying £150 per lead on average. That’s £75,000 for 500 leads a month. --- Here’s the problem: If you’re converting 10% of leads to appointments, that’s only 50 appointments. And if only 3% convert to sales, you’re left with just 15 sales. Even at an £8,000 sale price, that’s £120,000 in revenue. It might sound okay—until you realize your cost per sale is £5,000. --- It’s not the leads—it’s how you’re managing them. ❌ Your sales team is dialing leads to death when most customers prefer the simplicity of a text message. ❌ Leads aren’t contacted fast enough, missing the critical window when they’re most likely to convert. ❌ Leads go cold, and valuable opportunities slip through the cracks. The solution isn’t more leads—it’s converting the ones you already have. --- Our AI Sales Android fixes this problem by doubling your appointments with SMS follow-ups—and pre-qualifying your leads before they even reach your team. 🤖 What It Does: ✅ Re-engages cold leads with personalized, timely messages. ✅ Pre-qualifies leads by asking key questions like their budget, timeline, or project size. ✅ Answers FAQs like “What’s the warranty?” or “How soon can I install?” ✅ Books appointments automatically—ensuring only the best leads reach your team. By the time your sales team gets the lead, they’re engaged, qualified, and ready to convert. --- Why SMS Works 📲 98% of texts get read (vs. 20-30% of emails). 📲 SMS feels personal and engaging—not spammy. 📲 Leads are more likely to act quickly when contacted via text. --- The Results With automated SMS follow-ups, most solar companies see: 📈 Double the appointments booked 📈 Lower cost per sale 📈 More revenue—without spending more on lead generation --- If you convert 30-35% of leads to appointments, that’s 150-175 appointments. And if 6-15% of those leads convert to sales, you’ll close 30-75 deals. At an £8,000 sale price, that’s £240,000 to £600,000 in revenue—all from the same £75,000 investment. Your cost per sale drops to as low as £1,000, and your revenue skyrockets. --- Ask Yourself This... ❓ How many leads are sitting in your database right now? ❓ What’s your current cost per appointment? ❓ How much revenue are you losing because of poor follow-ups and unqualified leads? If you’re ready to double your appointments, pre-qualify your leads, and turn wasted leads into revenue, let’s chat. ⬇️ DM me to book a demo today and see how our AI Android works for solar companies. ⬇️ #SolarLeads #SMSMarketing #AI #SalesAutomation #Leadgeneration

In the renewable energy sector, a sales pitch is more than just a proposal — it’s a chance to connect and spark change. You have only a few minutes to capture attention, gain trust, and inspire a YES to solar. What drives success? Purposeful storytelling, clear relevance, and measured impact. 1. Know Your Customer: Research the prospect’s energy usage, pain points (like high electricity bills or sustainability goals), and industry trends. 2. Open with Impact: Start with an eye-opening question or fact — such as “Did you know switching to solar can reduce energy costs by up to 60%?” 3.Showcase the Challenge: Highlight the current energy issues your customer faces — whether costs, reliability, or environmental concerns. 4.Present Your Solution: Explain clearly how your solar offering addresses their needs and what differentiates your panels, systems, or service. 5. Provide Evidence: Use customer success stories, measurable savings, and real-world performance data to validate your claims. 6. Anticipate Objections: Address concerns directly, whether about upfront investment, installation, or reliability — offer clear, reassuring answers. 7. Close With Purpose: Conclude with a clear, professional ask — whether it’s a follow-up meeting, demo, or proposal. Key Reminders: 1. Focus on the benefits: long-term savings, energy independence, and sustainability. 2. Listen actively — every client’s situation is unique. 3. Preparation builds genuine confidence. Know your product, market, and customer inside out. In solar sales, you’re not just selling panels or inverter; you’re offering positive, sustainable change. How you communicate your authenticity, your insights, your clarity are as important as the technology itself. Whether you're pitching solar systems, software, or yourself the formula remains the same: Value. Relevance. Impact. Your goal: “This is exactly the solar solution I’ve been searching for.”
