You want more pipeline. You want to grow your organisation. Are you willing to make the hard choices that drive real growth? Sometimes, the fastest way to grow isn’t adding more opportunities. It’s saying no to the wrong ones. Niching down isn’t glamorous. It’s not a flashy hack. Many teams think they're already focused. But many more lack the discipline to be. (it happens to the best of us). Every unqualified lead drains your team’s time, energy, and resources. It creates the illusion of progress while pulling focus away from the customers who’ll see the most value from your product - and drive the most value back into your business. The solution is simple (but not always easy): That’s where the FOCUSED framework comes in. This framework ensures you’re targeting the right companies, aligning your teams, and delivering maximum value to your customers. → 𝗙 - 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹𝘀: Understand your target’s fiscal dynamics. Are they tightening budgets or investing in growth? What’s their buying cycle? → 𝗢- 𝗢𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗟𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀𝗰𝗮𝗽𝗲: Can you realistically generate opportunities here? Does the industry align with your resources and timing? → 𝗖 - 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: Where are your competitors vulnerable, and what’s your unique advantage? → 𝗨 - 𝗨𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘀: Do you know your users? What do they need, and how will they adopt your solution? → 𝗦 - 𝗦𝗮𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁: What’s the buying process? How many decision-makers are involved, and how do you navigate them? → 𝗘 - 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁: Is your market already problem-aware, or do you need to educate them? → 𝗗 - 𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗮: What internal or external evidence can you leverage to validate your strategy? Continued in the comments....

𝘓𝘦𝘵'𝘴 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘢 𝘧𝘶𝘯𝘦𝘳𝘢𝘭 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘴𝘢𝘭𝘦𝘴 𝘴𝘤𝘳𝘪𝘱𝘵𝘴. ✝️ 𝗥𝗜𝗣 𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗶𝗱 𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗸 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗸𝘀: 𝟭𝟵𝟱𝟬𝘀 - 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 ✝️ If your team is still using word-for-word scripts, you're likely seeing: • Prospects who "need to think about it" • Increasingly shorter calls • Objections you can't overcome • Reps who sound robotic and inauthentic Today's buyers can smell a script from a mile away. And they hate it. What's replacing scripts? Conversation frameworks. Working with a B2B services client, we replaced their scripts with flexible frameworks: • Core problem statements (not feature pitches) • Story libraries (not memorized anecdotes) • Question flows (not interrogation lists) • Objection pathways (not canned responses) Results after 60 days: • Average call time increased by 38% • Prospect engagement (measured by questions asked) up 45% • Conversion to next steps improved by 31% The best part? Reps reported feeling "human again" and actually enjoying their calls. Does your team sound like real humans having valuable conversations, or robots reciting memorized lines? If it's the latter, let's talk about building frameworks that actually work. #SalesScripts  #AuthenticSelling  #SalesTraining

Great B2B sales decks follow a very specific story. Problem → insight → proof → decision. Most companies skip half of it. Instead, they build decks that look like this: → company history with founders' photos → product overview min 7 slides → feature tour that takes forever → pricing in your face as the ask And I get it. You want to explain what you built and why it is great. From the buyer’s perspective, it feels completely off. They are still trying to understand the problem and whether it is even worth solving in the first place. Good sales decks do not start with the product. They start with context. ▫️What changed in the market? ▫️Why does the old way no longer work? ▫️What problem is now worth paying attention to? Once the buyer recognizes the problem, the rest of the story becomes much easier to follow. How to do it better? A simple structure by April Dunford sales pitch framework looks like this: 𝟭. 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝗾𝘂𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 Start with what changed. A shift in the market, a new problem, or a realization that the old way of doing things no longer works. 𝟮. 𝗔𝗹𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 Show how companies are currently trying to solve this problem. This helps buyers recognize themselves in the story. 𝟯. 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 Paint a picture of what success looks like if the problem is solved properly. 𝟰. 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 Only now introduce your company and why you decided to tackle this problem. 𝟱. 𝗗𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗲 Explain what makes your approach different from the alternatives buyers already know. 𝟲. 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗳 Bring in customer examples, results, or case studies that show this actually works in the real world. 𝟳. 𝗢𝗯𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 Address the most common concerns early. Pricing, complexity, implementation, or integration. 𝟴. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗮𝘀𝗸 End with a clear next step. Book another call, start a pilot, or move toward a proposal. When a sales deck follows this structure, the meeting feels less like a presentation and more like a shared discovery process. Instead of pushing a product, you are guiding the buyer through a logical decision. Many GTM teams use this structure because it keeps the conversation focused on the problem and the value. Sharing a quick snapshot of the structure & relatable examples below. Want me to feature you the next time I do that? Send me your pitch deck, and I'll gladly consider it. Sales decks are my guilty pleasure. I've read hundreds. The good ones are rare.

Let’s be real. Most teams don’t lose deals because the product isn’t great. They lose because the process is inconsistent, unclear, or built on last-minute improvisation. And here’s the truth nobody says out loud: Top reps today aren’t more talented. They’re more systemized. They’re using AI-driven frameworks that make them sharper and more consistent at every step. After working with dozens of teams, I keep going back to three frameworks that actually help people sell smarter. Not theory. Not fluff. Just repeatable systems that improve performance. Here they are: 1️⃣ L E A D: When your outreach feels random If your messages swing between “crushing it” and “crickets,” this is the fix. Locate the right prospect Engage with what they value Align your angle to their world Drive the decision with clarity This is how you stop sounding like everyone else in the inbox. 2️⃣ C L O S E : For cleaner, calmer discovery calls Great closers don’t wing it. They guide with intention. Connect Listen Offer Show Earn Run your next call through this and you’ll feel the difference. 3️⃣ V A L U E : When buyers don’t fully understand the impact This helps you explain ROI without rambling or overwhelming the buyer. Verify the vision Add the advantage Link long-term impact Uncover urgency Empower execution Simple. Clear. Confidence. These aren’t prompts. They are systems that turn guesswork into consistency and consistency into revenue.

Everyone talks about closing deals. Nobody talks about the frameworks that actually get you there. Here are 7 Sales Frameworks you must master (and when to use them): 1. Consultative Selling → Act like an advisor, not a product pusher. Perfect for high-ticket B2B where trust = everything. 2. SPIN Selling → Ask the right questions (Situation, Problem, Implication, Need-Payoff). Best in discovery calls. 3. Challenger Sale → Teach, tailor, take control. Works when buyers “think they already know” the solution. 4. Sandler System → Flip the script. Build trust, uncover pain, and make sure there’s real buy-in. 5. Value-Based Selling → Sell ROI, not features. Use this when you need to defend margins against discounting. 6. SNAP Selling → Simple, Invaluable, Aligned, Priority. Perfect for busy decision-makers in fast-moving deals. 7. Solution Selling → Diagnose → Prescribe → Co-create. Essential for complex, customizable solutions. 👉 If you only remember one thing: Stop winging it. Start using a proven framework that matches your buyer. Most reps lose deals not because the product is bad… …but because they’re using the wrong sales framework. Over to you: Which of these 7 frameworks have you actually used?

Take a position, win the market. // Positioning decisions + accountability for B2B CEOs.

I’ve spent years helping B2B companies build and standardize sales messaging. Here’s my model, in five acts. 1️⃣ Define the problem Your prospect called because they have a problem to solve. Help them tell you. ▶ Reflect domain knowledge about the big issues that trigger buying cycles ▶ Land on a clear, simple, mutually agreed statement getting to the heart of the problem 2️⃣ Frame the decision You’re talking to someone trying to understand their options and choose the right one. Help them make sense of what’s in front of them. ▶ Offer your expert perspective on their options, what makes them different, and where your product sits ▶ Be honest about the advantages and disadvantages 3️⃣ Share your unique value Your company or product solves your buyer’s problem in a certain way, which unlocks value that’s hard to get anywhere else. ▶ Tell them what the unique value is ▶ Make it short, sharp, and simple 4️⃣ Break down product capabilities What new abilities do buyers gain from your product? ▶ Tell them what they will do with it that they couldn’t before ▶ It will probably come down to 3-5 short present-tense action statements ▶ Then, reinforce this narrative with your demo 5️⃣ De-risk the decision Prospects are looking for reasons to say no. Take them off the table. This means speaking directly to things like: ▶ Your bona fides ▶ Relevant case studies  ▶ Value relative to cost (i.e., the price and the business case) ▶ How you support the implementation ▶ How you stand by your product ▶ Support after the sale And anything else you need to say to diffuse concerns. After that, you’ll have your obligatory call-to-action/next steps section. But you know all about that already because you’re smart. That’s pretty much it. PS: I am sharing this as a highly distilled, foundational mental model, not a template. You can use it as a framework for writing a deck, developing a sales elevator pitch, or as a jumping-off point for deeper sales messaging and assets. This framework can support a big, lofty narrative as well or a nitty gritty, in-the-weeds approach. Treat it as a springboard, not a Mad Libs exercise.

Word-for-word sales scripts turn good reps into bad robots. Every prospect can hear it. The flat delivery. The canned transitions. The rep waiting for their cue instead of listening to the answer. "If prospect says X, you say Y" is easy to train, easy to enforce, easy to blame when things go wrong. It also caps your entire team at mediocre. Scripts tell reps exactly what to say. Frameworks teach reps how to think. A framework gives you the order of operations. Open this way. Spend most of the call in discovery. Dig deeper when they mention pain. Present only after you understand the problem. Ask for the close with confidence. Inside that structure, the rep's actual personality gets to show up. They ask the natural follow-up question a real human would ask. They adapt when the conversation goes somewhere the script never predicted. Because it always goes somewhere the script never predicted. Every prospect is different. Different pain, different context, different way of describing the same problem. A rep locked into memorized lines can't follow any of it. They're performing a monologue while the prospect tries to have a conversation. Buyers today are more informed and more skeptical than they've ever been. They don't want to be recited to. They want to be understood. Rigid scripts build order-takers. Frameworks build salespeople.

Your sales training is focused on the wrong things. Sandler MEDDICC Challenger All great frameworks, all are helpful. But they are all fundamentally centered around what YOU want to uncover. But here’s the thing: Your buyer does not care about your acronyms. They don’t care about your stages. They don’t care about your process. What they do care about is solving a business problem in a way that feels efficient, respectful, and aligned with how they make decisions. If you want better win rates, shorter cycles, and higher trust… stop obsessing over the methodology and start training your reps on how buyers actually buy. The problem is everyone buys differently. Some buyers want 12 calls, full discovery, a written proposal, legal review, a security deep dive, and alignment with five stakeholders. Others already know your tool because they back-channeled you with 3 trusted peers, they watched your demo library, they tested the free trial, and they’re basically ready to buy tomorrow. But you’re forcing both groups into the exact same process. No wonder deals fall apart! The key is to move at the buyer’s speed. If they want to move fast → move fast. If they want to slow down and be methodical → slow down and be methodical. Meeting the buyer where they are doesn’t mean skipping qualification or losing control. It means: *Setting the right expectations *Guiding the process with them, not at them *Aligning your motions to their internal decision path *Supporting the way their org evaluates new tools That’s the hard part. That’s what separates good reps (who can run a textbook process) from great reps (who can run a flexible, buyer-first process without losing momentum). Train your reps to understand buying behavior, not just sales behavior.

I helped a client stop selling features. Results: 50% jump in conversion, 20% higher close rate, 30% faster sales cycle. How? By implementing my 6 Keys to Unlocking Predictable Growth framework. This framework isn't a list of tactics; it's an interlocking system. Here’s how it works: 𝗞𝗲𝘆 #𝟭: 𝗜𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗳𝘆 𝗮 𝗠𝗲𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗺  Your strategy starts with pain. If your customer isn't compelled to act, you're selling a "toy," not a transformation. What is the burning problem your customer must solve? 𝗞𝗲𝘆 #𝟮: 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗮 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 It's not enough to have a solution; the solution must be compelling. The right solution solves the problem quickly and delivers a clear return on the customer's investment of time, effort, and money. 𝗞𝗲𝘆 #𝟯: 𝗧𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀  Focus. Don't sell to everyone. Find the specific industry verticals that feel the pain from Key #1 most acutely and will recognize the value of your solution from Key #2. 𝗞𝗲𝘆 #𝟰: 𝗪𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗮 𝗖𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗠𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗴𝗲  Speak to the customer's pain and your solution. Your message must show you deeply understand their problem (negative present) and deliver results (positive future). 𝗞𝗲𝘆 #𝟱: 𝗨𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗦𝗮𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗹𝘀  Go where your customers are. Make it easy for them to learn about, purchase, and use your solution. A clear path to purchase eliminates friction and shortens the path to "yes." 𝗞𝗲𝘆 #𝟲: 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁 𝗮𝗻 𝗘𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗦𝗮𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗠𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻  Don't build a sales process for your sole benefit. Match your sales activities to the customer's buying journey, from their first contact to their final day as a customer. These 6 Keys form an interlocking system for growth, where a weakness in one key undermines the others. Which key is your biggest Go-to-Market challenge right now?
