  • I've reviewed 1000+ creator media kits in my career. Brandon Smithwrick 🧠's is the only one I've ever shared. 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗔𝗡𝗔𝗧𝗢𝗠𝗬 𝗢𝗙 𝗔 𝗠𝗘𝗗𝗜𝗔 𝗞𝗜𝗧 𝗧𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗔𝗖𝗧𝗨𝗔𝗟𝗟𝗬 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗧𝗦: → "𝗟𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗨𝗽𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱: 𝗡𝗼𝘃 2024" (𝗧𝗢𝗣 𝗢𝗙 𝗣𝗔𝗚𝗘) Always current. Shows you're active. I instantly know this isn't something from 6 months ago that's collecting dust. → 87𝗞 𝗙𝗢𝗟𝗟𝗢𝗪𝗘𝗥𝗦 + 𝗘𝗡𝗚𝗔𝗚𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧 𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗘𝗦 Real numbers. Not "I have a large following." This is your leverage AND tells me if you're right for my campaign before we both waste time. → 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗡𝗧 𝗘𝗫𝗔𝗠𝗣𝗟𝗘𝗦 𝗪𝗜𝗧𝗛 𝗣𝗟𝗔𝗬 𝗕𝗨𝗧𝗧𝗢𝗡𝗦 I don't have time to check your Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and YouTube. Brandon shows exactly what I'm buying BEFORE I buy it. Smart. → 𝗧𝗥𝗨𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗗 𝗕𝗬: 20+ 𝗕𝗥𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗟𝗢𝗚𝗢𝗦 Amazon Business. LinkedIn. Teachable. Notion. Social proof that speaks louder than any pitch deck ever could. → 𝗣𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗦 & 𝗔𝗖𝗖𝗢𝗟𝗔𝗗𝗘𝗦 His Forbes 30 Under 30 mention? That's instant credibility. If you have accolades, flaunt them. They're not bragging. They're qualifying. → 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗨𝗟𝗧: 𝗕𝗥𝗔𝗡𝗗𝗢𝗡 𝗜𝗦 𝗔𝗟𝗪𝗔𝗬𝗦 𝗕𝗢𝗢𝗞𝗘𝗗 We love that for him. 𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗖𝗔𝗡 𝗧𝗔𝗞𝗘 𝗜𝗧 𝗧𝗢 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗡𝗘𝗫𝗧 𝗟𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗟: Brandon's kit would be unstoppable with 2-3 testimonials from brands or agencies. "Brandon's LinkedIn campaign drove 47 qualified leads in 2 weeks" hits different than logos alone. 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗦𝗘𝗖𝗥𝗘𝗧 𝗪𝗘𝗔𝗣𝗢𝗡 𝗠𝗢𝗦𝗧 𝗖𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗧𝗢𝗥𝗦 𝗦𝗞𝗜𝗣: A "2025 Focus" section. Tell me what conferences you're attending. What campaign themes you want to explore. Make it easy for me to see where you fit in my Q1 plans. I review 100+ media kits weekly at Creator Match 🧩. The ones that convert don't make me work to understand your value AND how to pitch you. They show me immediately why you're worth the investment AND can deliver on KPIs. The gap between creators wondering why brands pass and creators closing deals? Usually a media kit that sells FOR them instead of making brands figure it out themselves. 4 years of building my personal brand taught me one thing: Opportunities don’t just land in your inbox. But you can make it really easy for them to. One thing that’s been a complete game-changer for me? A MEDIA KIT. It’s not just a pretty PDF. It’s your first impression before you even get on a call. It tells brands, agencies, and collaborators: Who you are What you do Who your audience is Why you’re the right person to work with Here’s what I always recommend adding to a media kit: 1️⃣ Your story – Not just “what you do” but why you do it. People buy into humans, not just services. 2️⃣ Audience insights – Your demographics, engagement rates, and reach. Show them your influence is real, not just follower numbers. 3️⃣ Your work & proof – Screenshots of campaigns, testimonials, or case studies that show results. 4️⃣ Partnership opportunities – Whether it’s content creation, brand collaborations, speaking gigs — lay it out clearly. 5️⃣ Contact details – Make it effortless for them to say “yes” to working with you. Before I had one, I spent hours going back and forth on emails explaining all of this. Now? I send my media kit, and it does the talking while I get back to creating. If you’re a content creator, influencer, or freelancer and you don’t have one yet you’re leaving money and opportunities on the table. Question: Do you have a media kit right now, or is it on your to-do list?

One thing you can do today to move the needle for your author publicity efforts, it’s this... Put together a media kit. Here’s why: When media outlets, podcasters, or event organizers show interest in you, they don’t have time to dig for details. A media kit makes their lives easier—and positions you as the professional they want to work with. So, what’s in a great media kit? #1 Your headshot: High-quality, professional, and ready for any publication. #2 Your biography: A clear, concise summary of your expertise. #3 Your book (if you have one): Include a copy and a compelling description. #4 An interview prep sheet: This is a game-changer. Include sample questions to make it easy for interviewers to prepare and highlight your key points. Think of it as your all-in-one publicity toolkit. It saves time, removes friction, and makes it effortless for people to feature you. Spend an hour today gathering these essentials into a folder. Whether it’s digital or printed, you’ll thank yourself when opportunities come knocking. Step up your publicity game in 2025! This is where it starts. #MediaKitEssentials #PublicityTips #RisingAuthors

Meg Carney creates a media kit for every podcast episode. And no, it’s not overkill. It’s smart #PR. On a recent episode of Digital PR Explained, Meg shared how she builds episode-specific kits that make her podcast easier to pitch and promote for her PR rep, her guests, and the media. Here’s what she includes in each one: ✔️ A short episode summary ✔️ Guest bio and links ✔️ Pull quotes ✔️ Full transcript ✔️ Apple/Spotify/YouTube links ✔️ Social media graphics ✔️ Suggested captions She’s already creating most of this for show notes and social. Putting it all in one place just makes it easier to use. And it works. → Guests are more likely to share → Press is more likely to feature → Her publicist can pitch faster and with more context It’s such a good example of PR and podcasting working in sync. 🎧 Hear the full breakdown on Digital PR Explained.
