Great support, VERY responsive and fast with useful information. It’s a very good slider plugin. Not perfect, as I’d love to be able to select my media library images as I have them categorized by Media Library Assistant plugin….that would be most helpful. But overall, it’s a good replacement for Revolution Slider. I will continue to support and use this slider plugin.

I had the paid plugin on a professional website, and now after the subscription ran out i see a “made by depicter” ad in the lower left corner of my slider. You can do that – IF you give your plugin for free, but not to paying customers. i only created 1 slider for 39$ and that should give me this slider without any branding, for ever. this behavior is way to pushy and forced me to modify the plugin code to get back my clean slider. it was also certainly the last time i purchased anyhing from averta. I loved phlox and depicter, and i totally respect your general branding method – but come on, you can’t pull this off in a professional enviroment, especially so sneaky, and after someone actually purchased your plugin!

I’m shocked by how many annoying things I’ve found in this plugin. Usually, product issues come from technical challenges. Depicter’s problems are due to choices made by the developer because it would not have been a higher technical hurdle to make the product better. When images are layered on top of each other, having to use drag-and-drop to swap out an image is a ridiculous ux choice. You’re trying to change 1 image, but it keeps dropping into another image in the stack. It’s such a stupid annoyance that could be solved by letting the user swap the image using the right click menu. I can’t even fathom why there is not a swap image function on the right click menu. That’s like the most basic thing that any ux person would know to implement. There are other issues but I don’t feel like typing a full analysis of the product deficiencies. The fact that they find the time to write a plethora of seo articles but can’t be bothered to create actual support docs seems like a continuation of a pattern of choosing to not be excellent. – edit – I’ve found yet another problem. There’s no drag & select functionality. When editing a slide, if you want to move or resize a group of elements, you can’t click&drag to select multiple elements at once (as with any proper design interface) rather than clicking one-by-one. Do you know how long that takes when there are 20+ elements and every time you need to do something with then collectively, you have to go through the process of clicking to select each one-by-one?

It takes a little getting used to at first, but once you understand the principle, it’s much easier to create truly unique pop-ups, sliders, or notification bars. I highly recommend it to anyone who frequently needs such gadgets.
