Hi! My name is Fernanda, and I’m a journalist with 6+ years of experience in major newsrooms (such as EXAME and TMDQA!, etc.) who decided to make room in life for lines of code. My journey into technology is not new at all: even during high school, I independently explored HTML / CSS to style my blog, but it was while working as a reporter that I genuinely became fascinated (with intention!) by the innovation sector.
Later, I worked as a public relations professional, where I had the chance to support companies in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Software as a Service (SaaS). That experience helped me realize I didn’t just want to write about these solutions — but I wanted to help build them. That’s what led me to transition my career into technology.
Today, I’m an undergraduate student in Systems Analysis and Development at Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie (São Paulo, SP). I'm also studying Full Stack Programming at EBAC (British School of Creative Arts and Technology). I’ve also been using my time as a student to deepen my knowledge in areas I’m passionate about: front-end, QA, UX / UI Design and Data.
I bridge the gap between journalism's critical thinking and software development's technical precision. My path is marked by a commitment to continuous learning and technical rigor, highlighted by the following programs:
- AWS AI FDE Driven Quality Engineering Bootcamp | AI/R Company (May 2026)
- Focused on AI-driven quality engineering and development standards.
- #ElasTech Bootcamp | SoulCode Academy + PagBank (2025)
- Intensive technical training focused on developing robust solutions for corporate environments.
- Introduction to Digital Logic | UNIFESP (2025)
- Theoretical foundation in computational systems, strengthening the logical base necessary for software architecture.
With that, I’m looking to keep building my skills and prepare myself to face the real challenges that will come in the professional market. I’m interested in joining junior/entry-level collaborative projects.
Let’s create impactful stories (and code!) together? 💫
- Communication & Writing: technical ability for clear documentation, UX Writing and storytelling.
- Strong research skills: ease in finding the root causes of problems and analyzing large data sets.
- Critical thinking: an analytical mindset to understand the social impact of every line of code.
- Diversity: as a woman with a disability and LGBTQIAPN+, my perspective is grounded in accessibility and inclusion.
- Accessible technologies (A11y);
- Testing (Unit/E2E) to ensure resilience for Quality Engineering;
- Open-source projects focused on social impact;
- Documentation, UX Writing, and storytelling applied to technology
When I’m not refactoring code or studying programming, I enjoy:
- Spoiling my official supervisor: my cat, Paçoca Peralta (a tribute to Brooklyn 99), keeps my space full of love.
- Exploring my geek world: I watch One Piece, I’m a proud Nintendo kid, I love board games, and I’m always looking for my next favorite cozy game.
- Listening to my focus vibes: my “getting things done” playlist alternates between Lo-fi, indie bands, unstoppable EDM beats, and the unmatched energy of the guys from Bring Me the Horizon <3.
- Cinematic aesthetics & unplugging: I practice photography, I’m passionate about cinema (!!!), I paint on canvas, and I have a slightly (or totally!) nostalgic appreciation for retrofuturistic aesthetics.
