Começar por:

a. Remova a estrutura do rolo da esteira.

Ao utilizar cilindros hidráulicos e pinos extratores, certifique-se

sempre de que a capacidade nominal do pino extrator atenda ou
exceda a capacidade nominal do cilindro hidráulico. Se o pino
extrator não atender ou exceder a capacidade nominal do
cilindro hidráulico, poderá ocorrer uma falha repentina do pino
extrator. A falha repentina do pino extrator pode resultar em
ferimentos pessoais ou morte.

Podem ocorrer ferimentos pessoais ao realizar manutenção na

estrutura do rolo da esteira.

Consulte a Instrução Especial, SMHS8273 para procedimentos

de inspeção e remoção antes de executar qualquer serviço.

Lesões pessoais ou morte podem ocorrer ao levantar um

conjunto pesado.

O conjunto pesado pode cair se for usado um guincho incorreto

para levantar a carga.

Certifique-se de que o guindaste tenha a capacidade correta

para içar um conjunto pesado. O peso aproximado do conjunto
é fornecido abaixo.

PERCEBER
Deve-se tomar cuidado para garantir que os fluidos estejam
contidos durante a inspeção, manutenção, testes, ajustes e
reparos do produto. Esteja preparado para coletar o fluido em
recipientes adequados antes de abrir qualquer compartimento
ou desmontar qualquer componente que contenha fluidos.

Consulte a Publicação Especial, PERJ1017, "Catálogo de

Ferramentas de Serviço do Revendedor" para obter ferramentas
e suprimentos adequados para coletar e conter fluidos em
produtos Cat ® .

Descarte todos os fluidos de acordo com as regulamentações e

exigências locais.

1. Coloque a estrutura do rolete da esteira em uma superfície nivelada. Apoie cada

extremidade da estrutura do rolete da esteira com as guias da esteira.

2. Remova os parafusos (1) e o retentor (3) da estrutura do rolo da esteira (2).

3. Remova o anel de vedação do retentor (3) que veda entre o retentor e a estrutura do rolo
da esteira (2).

4. Posicione a ferramenta (A) conforme mostrado na Ilustração 2. Gire a porca para aplicar
pressão na placa (4). Separe a placa (4) e o retentor (5) e insira a ferramenta (B) para
manter a placa (4) e o retentor (5) separados. Insira a ferramenta (B) em quatro locais
igualmente espaçados ao redor do retentor (5).

5. Use um martelo macio ao redor do diâmetro externo do retentor (5) para soltar e remover a
placa (4).

Note: The 8E-2898 Plate is the same component that is used on the end of the pivot shaft.

Note: Orientation of retainers (5) and (6) for assembly.

6. Use a suitable press and Tooling (C) to remove retainer (6) from retainer (5).

7. Use a suitable press to remove seal (7) from retainer (5).

NOTICE
When these components are removed, the components are
damaged or destroyed.

8. Inspect bearing (8) on each side of the track roller frame for wear and for damage. Remove
bearings (8) from the track roller frame, only if necessary.

9. Use a suitable lifting device to position track roller frame (2) on suitable cribbing. The weight
of track roller frame (2) is approximately 4350 kg (9600 lb). Remove Tooling (D).

10. Mark the track idlers, the caps, and the shims, so that the components are assembled in the
original locations. Remove the track idlers.

Note: Orientation of track rollers (14), caps (13), and the track roller frame for assembly.

11. Attach a suitable lifting device to track roller (14). Remove bolts (12) and caps (13). The
weight of track roller (14) is approximately 98 kg (215 lb). Remove track roller (14) from the
minor bogie. Repeat this procedure for all of the track rollers.

12. Remove bolts (16) and track guides (15) from the major bogies.

Note: Removal of the plugs and stoppers releases oil.

13. Use a variable speed drill to remove plug (17) and stopper (19) from each end of cartridge
pin (18).

14. Repeat Steps 13 through 16 for the remainder of the minor bogies.

15. Install Tooling (E) on the minor bogie. Suspend Tooling with a suitable lifting device.
Remove the cartridge pin.

16. Remove minor bogie (20) from the major bogie.

17. Insert Tooling (F) between the track roller frame and the major bogie to hold the components
in place during the removal of the cartridge pins.

18. Use Tooling (G) to remove retaining ring (21) from each side of the track roller frame.

19. Install Tooling (H) in plate (22). Remove plate (22) from each side of the track roller frame.

20. Use a variable speed drill to remove plug (23) and stopper (25) from each end of cartridge
pin (24). Remove plugs (26) from each side of the track roller frame.

21. Install Tooling (E) on the major bogie. Use suitable lifting device to support Tooling (E).
Remove the cartridge pins.

22. Attach a suitable lifting device to major bogie (27). The weight of major bogie (27) is
approximately 190 kg (420 lb).

23. Repita os passos 17 a 21 para o restante dos truques principais.

24. Remova os conjuntos de pastilhas (28) da estrutura do rolo da esteira e dos bogies
principais.

25. Remova a estrutura do rolo da esteira dianteira da estrutura do rolo da esteira traseira.

26. Remova o ajustador da esteira.

27. Remova a mola recuperadora.
