Tipos de Armaduras Mágicas e Efeitos
Rare and very rare armors like Armor of Invulnerability, Adamantine Armor, and Demonic Armor significantly influence character development and gameplay by providing unique defensive and offensive modifications that can enhance character abilities and survivability. Characters can tailor their equipment selection to match their combat strategy, considering factors such as damage resistance, enhanced attack capabilities, and additional utility such as language understanding, ultimately creating diverse tactical options and resilience in varied combat scenarios .
The main advantage of wearing Mithral armor is its ability to bypass the usual disadvantages associated with certain types of armor. A Mithral chain shirt or breastplate can be worn under normal clothing and does not impose disadvantage on Dexterity (Stealth) checks nor does it require a Strength prerequisite that other armors might have .
The Armor of Invulnerability can dramatically alter a battle's outcome by granting the wearer immunity to non-magical damage for 10 minutes, allowing them to withstand significant attacks without harm. This strategic advantage, however, is limited by its once-per-day use, requiring careful timing and consideration of the most impactful moments to activate this ability .
The Swimming Armor allows the wearer to swim at the same speed as their walking speed. Additionally, if a character begins their turn underwater with 0 hit points, the armor automatically causes them to ascend 30 feet towards the surface, preventing them from drowning .
The Ethereal Form Plate Armor allows the wearer to use a command word to gain the effects of the etherealness spell, enabling them to enter the Ethereal Plane for up to 10 minutes. This effect cannot be used again until the next dawn, thus limiting its frequency of use .
The curse associated with the Armor of Vulnerability makes the wearer vulnerable to two types of damage out of concussive, piercing, or slashing, not the type to which the armor grants resistance. This curse is revealed only upon casting an identification spell on the armor or when the wearer attunes to it. The curse remains in effect until the wearer is targeted with a remove curse spell or similar magic, as simply removing the armor does not end the curse .
Demonic Armor grants a +1 bonus to AC, allows the wearer to understand and speak Abyssal, and turns unarmed attacks with gauntlets into magical slashing attacks with additional bonuses. The risks include a curse that prevents removal without magic and imposes disadvantage on attack rolls against demons and saves against their spells or abilities .
A character might choose to wear Armor of Resistance to gain resistance to a specific type of damage, thereby reducing the incoming damage of that type by half. The type of resistance is either chosen by the Master or determined randomly using a d10 table .
Adamantine Armor offers the specific defensive benefit of negating critical hits by turning them into normal hits due to its hardened material. In contrast, Armor of Invulnerability provides resistance to non-magical damage and, through a special action, can grant immunity to non-magical damage for 10 minutes once per day .
Dwarven Armor provides a +2 bonus to AC and allows the wearer to use a reaction to reduce the distance they are moved unwillingly by 10 feet, enhancing both their defense and control over positioning in combat situations .
