I Grammar Reference

Particularidades:
gain_more a) Nos verbos terminados em y precedidos de consoante,
troca-se o -y por -ied.
Can, expressando a ideia de capacidade, é mais
naturalmente entendido em português como study- studied
"saber/ conseguir fazer algo" do que como carry - carried
"poder fazer algo". Em português, "poder fazer worry - worried
algo" é mais imediatamente associado à ideia de
marry - married
permissão ou possibilidade, e não de capacidade.
b) Nos verbos terminados em consoante+ vogal+
