SPECIFICATIONS FOR PRE-FABRICATED Modular Shelter 1, DESCRIPTION OF WORK Construction of Prefabricated Modular shelter with attached toilet block using Sandwich Panels, Steel Structure, False Ceiling, Door & windows at ARIES Devsthal campus complete inall respects as per the concept drawings attached including design, supply, installation, sanitary installation, electrical wiring wor ks, asper the general specifications as detailed below. 2. DESIGN PARAMETER The Prefabricated Modular shelter with attached toilet will be designed for minimum lif. span of 20 years plain areas in 1:4 slope covering wind velocity of up to 47 meters/sec Seismic Zone V & ambient temperature ranging from -5 to +50 degree. 3, BUILDING SIZES The Size of Barrack is Appx. 3 6 X 20.00 Feet with provision of attached toilet and pantr with Sfeet verandah (As per drawing). The Modular shelter clear height below false ceiling sha be 2,90 mtr, The shelter at eaves shall be 3.00 mtr & Centre height shall be 3.79 mtr. 4, STRUCTURE WALLING Specification- 75mm thick Drywall Panel Partition, comprising of 1.0mm thick Gl Floor track of size 76mm, having unequal flanges of 25mm and 14mm and fixed with nylon sleeves self expansion fasteners to the floor and 1.0mm thick Ceiling track of size 76mm, having two equal flanges of size 35mm and fixed to RCC soffit in plumb to each other with nylon sleeves and self expansion fasteners Drywall Panel (Non-Asbestos) of width 600mm, height 2400mm/2700mm/3000mm as suitable which are made of two Fibre Reinforced Cement facing boards on either sides of a lightweight concrete core. These boards shall be of thickness of upto 4.5 to Smm and shall conforms to IS 14862:2000 (Type A, Also recommended for Exposed weather condition). These panels shall have fire rating of 3 Hrs, Thermal conductivity of 0.17 W/m.k , sound insulation of 40 db. and can able to take Axial load of 90 KN/m or more (tested as per ASTM E 72) and 75mm thickness will be inserted into floor and ceiling track in vertical position. Jointing of these Prefabricated fibre reinforced sandwich panels shall be done with a Smartbond Panel jointing compound in tongue & grove with a thin slurry of Water and Smartbond Jointing compound in the ratio of 0.6:1 and surface joint shall be treated also with smartbond jointing compound with a Thick paste of Water and smartbond Jointing compound in the ratio of 0.35:1 and fibre tape. Finally 2-3mm wall putty will be applied at all surface of the panels to maintain P.T.Othe level. The paint as per approved with necessary surface preparation will be applied on the surface. Interior wall panelling to be done by HD panel of approved color and material to giv asthetic look The joints all around the Wall Panels shall be joined & covered on all exposed faces. Allthe wall joints shall be sealed with transparent/white color silicon sealant. 5. FALSE CEILING False Ceiling shall be provided in the living area and toilet only (Excluding Verandah) using Pvc Panel as per approved sample. 6. Wall Panels SPECIFICATIONS All material required for manufacture of shelter shall be new and shall comply with relevant Bureau of Indian Standard specifications. * At Panels will be manufactured in single batch as per approved panel layout Drawings using the above materials. Original purchase voucher and test certificate will be submitted and the purchaser can carry out inspection of any one panel from the lot at manufacturer premises to ensure the chemical and physical properties. The colour inside and external wall panel will be as per buyer requirement of approved shade. P.T.O.7. ROOFING The Roof shall be provided ina two way slope of 1:4 ratio with PPG! Trapezoidal colour coated confirming IS 14246 Sheet of 0.5min thick. The Roof shall have minimum projection of 300 mm from the eaves wall & will be flushed at Gable Wall. The Roof Sheets shall be fixed on to the structural steel frame work using 5x95 mm self-tapping self-drilling screws with suitable EPDM Seal Fasteners / J Hooks & Nuts of 8mm diameter with bitumen & GI Limpet Washers complete up to the pitch of the Sheet. The Roof Sheeting Junction at Centre will be covered with 0.50 mm thick PPGI Ridge cover of Size 205x205 mm_ fixed over the Roof Sheeting & on to the Structural Steel frame Work using 95 min self-Tapping Self Drilling Screws with suitable Rubber Fasteners. The Roof will have a minimum projection of 300 mm all around the Eaves & Gable Walls. The PPGI Sheets shall be of minimum 240 MPA Steel grade & shall have a Zinc Coating of minimum 120 GSM as per IS 277/1992, 5-7 Microns of epoxy primer on both sides of the Sheet & Polyester top Coat of 18-20 microns on one side/outer side. The PPGI Sheets/PUF Panels shall have a protectiveguard film of minimum 20-25 microns to avoid scratches to finished panel during transportation. 8. FLASHING It will be responsibility of the contractor to fix & cover all joints using proper & suitable Size PPGI Flashing In 0.5Omm Thickness. The PPGI Sheets Shall Be Of Minimum 240 Mpa Steel grade & shall have a Zinc coating of minimum 120 gsm as per IS 277/1992, 5-7 Microns of Epoxy Primer on both sides of the Sheet & Polyester top coat of 18-20 microns onone side / outer side. The PPGI Sheets / PUF Panels shall have a protective guard film of minimum 20-25 microns to avoid scratches to finished panel during transportation, 9. DOORS (ASPER DRAWINGS) Pressed Steel profile frame with Flush Doors Shutters shall be provided in prefab structure as per the sizes given in the Drawing. The Door Frame will be made up of suitable designed pressed Steel Profile section duly painted in approved Colour in 1.25 mm thickness CrSteel. Each Door shall be provided with ISI marked Aluminum fittings such as1no. 300mm L-drop Bolt, 2 Nos D Shaped handles of 150 mm, 1 Nos Tower Bolt of Size 200mm, 1 Nos Power Bolt of Size 100 mm. The Door Shutter shall be fixed to the frame using 4 Nos M$ BUTTHinge (100 mm each). P.T.O.10. Wooden Flooring Supply and fixing of wooden laminated flooring of 8mm thick in bedroom with plastic and foam sheet to avoid moisture complete sample as per approved sample and specifications 11, WINDOWS & SUNSHADES (AS PER DRAWINGS) Aluminum 2 way sliding windows with fixed mesh front outside & Aluminum Grills with all fittings shall be provided as per the Drawings. The window frame of size 1200x 1200 mm will be manufactured using suitable Standard Aluminum hollow Sections / Profile. The Window shall be provided with 3 min thick clear Poly Carbonate Sheet fixed using EPDM Rubber Beading. The Window shall also be provided with Stainless Steel Mesh of 1.5mna Aperture & Standard Grills fixed front outside of Window using suitable size Aluminium Flat & Rivets. Window is to be provided as per drawing. 12, SUNSHADE Suitable Sunshades made out of 0.50mm PPGI Sheets will be provided to all external Windows and doors not covered under Verandah. The Minimum projection for the sunshades will be 450 mm and 300 mm wider than the width of the opening. It should be suitably fastened with the main structure. 13. CURTAIN ROD ARRANGEMENT 25 mm dia mild steel powder colour coated fancy type drapery rod with fixing arrangements willbe provided or all openings (Door and Windows). The drapery rod should be minimum 450 mm longer than width of the opening. 14. STRUCTURAL STEEL FRAME WORK (AS PER DRAWING) The Structural Steel frame work shall consist of RHS Sections conforming to IS 4923/ 1997. The Frame Work shall consist of Trusses, Purlins, and Column Etc. All the steel work shall be given 2 coats of Zinc Chromate Primer. The Steel work shall be painted with 2 coats of Synthetic Enamel Paint of approved shade & make. Main Shelter column of Size upto 96X 48 X 3.2 min IS 4923; 1997 (RA 20 13) provided at a distance as per drawing, . The column shall also have top plate of size (2s per drawing) for connection with Truss Plate. The Verandah Column are made using RHS of size upto 66 X33X 2.9mm. P.T.O.The Trusses shall be made up using RHS section of size upto 66 X 33 X 2,9 mmat Top & Bottom Cord of truss and size upto 50 X 25 X 1.8mm thick internal members. The Trusses shall be fixed on to the columns with connection plates of 6mm thick. Trusses to be provided at a distance of size upto 2.44 in and shall be supported on Truss Columns or suit to site. Purlins made up of RHS of size size upto 66 X 33 X 2.9 & shall be fixed between the trusses as per drawing attached. The Steel Structure sections mentioned above are minimum Sizes to be used & indicative. Higher section sizes & thickness can he adopted. The Shelters will be designedfor the design Parameters & Drawings as indicated in the Specifications mentioned above. 15. WORK MAN SHIP (a) Connection: Welded connection will be provided unless otherwise specified in the Drawings. The welded connections will be conformed to IS 806-1968 (b) Fabrication: The General Provisions in section 11 of 1S 800 of 1984 will apply to all types of steel being used for fabrication. (C) Various Fasteners and Fittings: Fasteners and Fittings of mild Steel shall be supplied unless otherwise specified in and shall be fixed where required, Fastening means will be provided for the items to be fitted at the time of erection. the Fasteners supplied shall confirm to relevant BIS Specification. (d) Finishes: All Steel work will be given two coats of Red Oxide Zinc Chromate primer by the manufacturer in the factory. All the Steel items shall be painted using 2 coats of syntheticEnamel Paint of approved shade. All Paint Materials will be of Jenson & Nicholson/Berger/Asian make. 16. CIVIL WORKS Foundation, Flooring & Finishing Works - to be provided by Indenter / Consignee as per the Drawings. P.T.O.17. ELECTRICAL WIRING & POINTS (INCLUDING FITTINGS) The Electrical Wiring Points shall be provided within the Shelters Only. Provision for connecting to the main line shall be done by the client. All the wiring & fittings used shall conform to ISI Mark & shall be of good brand All Wiring used shall be conforming to |S 694. All conduits shall be round PVC 25 min diameter medium grade conforming to IS 9537 Part 3. All Sockets / Switch Boxes shall be Modular Design. MCB, Distribution Boxes shall be IS! IZ Io Is3 In Ie Z| lo Brief Description Quality of Steel, Steel will be of YST- 310 grade. RHS members will conform to IS 4923-1997 and for other steel members conforming to IS- 2062. No rerolled steel will be used. Make of steel will be SAIL/TATAIJINDAL subject to conforming to given IS specifications alongwith manufacturers test certificate. Foundation of Column. PCC 1:2:4 type B1 (20 mm graded stone aggregate) of size 350x350x900mm over the sub base PCC 1:4:8 of size 500 x 500mm, 150mm thick. Ref Drg att Wall Panels. All walls shall be made of GI metal skinned PUF panels. The PUF insulation material in the panel shall have fire retarding and self- extinguishing properties as per international standard. Details are given subsequent! GI Skin for PUF. (a) PUF Panel shall be made of 0.60mm thick pre coated Gl skin outer | walls filled with PUF of thickness 58.74mm with density 44 Kg/Cum + 10% Kg/Cum. The overall thickness of PUF panel should not be less than 60mm (b) The outer and inner colour coated (RAL-1001) GI skin made from hot dipped galvanized steel of the panels should be 0.60 mm thick TCT (Total coated thickness). Each panel shall be supplied pre-painted with a colour coating of 50 microns of architectural polyester on a minimum 120 GSM base of Zinc coating on the finished surface only for protection against scratches during handling and transportation. Base metal of Gl | against scratches during handling and transportation. Base metal of Gl skin CRCA should be as per IS-513 and grade of zinc coating will be 175 as per |S-277 (c) The pre coated GI sheet skin should have min coating of 4.5 micron epoxy primer and 25 micron polyester top coat on the finished surface and 7-8 micron primer Alkyd Backer on backside which is bounded to the polyurethane foam. The pre coated Gl sheet should conform to IS 14246- 4995 with manufacturer test certificates conforming to specification. Base metal of GI [Link] sheet should be as per IS-513 and galvanization as per GR-120 as per IS-277. (d) These panels are to be manufactured using high pressure dispensing machine of required capacity to inject specified amount of PUF chemical into the cavity of a full panel in one shot not exceeding 25 sec duration. This is to ensure that the liquid PUF mixture is sprayed into the cavity before the foaming reaction starts so that the insulation core of the panel is formed in one piece and provides desired structural and physical properties. The bulk density of insulation should be 44 + 10% Kg/m® made from CFC free close cell polyurethane foam and the dispensing machinery should be kept with a PLC controlled panel for monitoring and controlling the injection rate to assure specified uniform density requirements. The total thickness of the finished composite panel should not less than 60.0mm. (e) The colour of wall panels should be ivory in internal side and outer side Indian Army pattern finish. (f) The PUF insulated core of these composite panels should have the following properties :- (i) Density - 44 + 10% Kg/m?. (ii) ‘U' value of external walls will not exceed 0.36 (+) 5% Wim2K. (ii) Flammability B2 DIN 4102 Pt.4 Brief Description (iv) Blowing agent (non CFC) — R— 1418. (v) External colour of PUF panel would be RAL 1001 & inner colour would be off white. (vi) Compressive strength at 10% deformation — 2.1 kg/m? (vii) Tensile strength 3.7 kg/cm? (viii) Bending Strength - 4.0 kg/cm?. (ix) Adhesive strength (Foam to steel) — 2.9 kg/cm?. () The panels should be moulded in place using the above in-situ process after placing them in a hydraulic press with heated aluminium anodized pattern and corner mould so as to attain the desired finish, bonding and structural properties. (k)__ All panels will be manufactured in single piece as per approved panel layout drawing using the above materials and manufacturing process. A spare panel will be supplied along with bulk supply of panels for testing the designed parameters of the incorporated panels in the shelters.
