emozioni,intenzioni,possesso, relazioni, sensi,
opinioni, stati d'essere e misurazioni. A
differenza degli action verbs non accettano la
forma progressiva, ma sono solamente i tempi
presenti.
Gli stative verbs sono raggruppati in varie
categorie:

intenzioni o opinioni: mostrano possesso :
sapere,credere,capire etc avere ,possedere etc

3)verbi di stato che mostrano percezione:

sentire,vedere,odorare etc

4)verbi che mostrano emozioni :

amare,odiare,avere bisogno etc
Alcuni dei verbi stativi possono talvolta funzionare come verbi dinamici.

Guardate queste frasi:

I think you should do it ➡️ Penso che dovresti farlo.

"present simple". La seconda frase, invece, esprime un'azione in corso
("sto pensando"), quindi è in "present continuous".
il verbo " to have" (avere):
I have a new laptop ➡️ Ho un nuovo computer portatile (indica stato e possesso; funzione
statica).
I’m having second thoughts about buying a new laptop ➡️ Ho dei dubbi sull'acquisto di un
nuovo computer portatile (indica un'azione, un processo mentale: avere dubbi, avere
ripensamenti; funzione dinamica).

Accade anche con il verbo " to see" (vedere):

I see no problem with that ➡️ Non vedo alcun problema (esprime un'opinione; funzione
statica).
I’m seeing María next week ➡️Andrò a trovare Maria la prossima settimana (esprime
azione; funzione dinamica).
