B. Structure

 The structure that we can use in making a Daily Activity sentence

Dalam penyusunan daily activity, biasa menggunakan tenses (bentuk waktu) yaitu simple
present. Simple present tense adalah tenses yang digunakan ketika suatu kejadian sedang
berlangsung saat ini atau kejadian yang berlangsung berulang kali (kebiasaan). Tenses ini
merupakan tenses yang paling sering digunakan dalam bahasa Inggris, contohnya:
  I / You / We / They + Verb 1

I go to school from Monday until Friday. (Aku pergi ke sekolah dari Senin sampai Jumat)

We always go home together after school. (Kami selalu pulang sekolah bersama)

 He / She / It + Verb 1 + (s/es)

She always prays before she goes to school. (Dia selalu berdoa sebelum berangkat sekolah)

My father drinks coffee every morning. (Ayahku minum kopi setiap pagi)

Bentuk spelling (pengucapan) kata kerja pada orang ketiga (She, He, It), tergantung dari
akhiran kata kerja (verb) tersebut.

1. Untuk kata kerja yang berakhiran -O, -CH, -SH, -X, atau -Z, tambahkan -ES.

 go – goes

 catch – catches

 wash – washes

 kiss – kisses

 box – boxes

 fix – fixes

2. Untuk kata kerja (Verb) yang berakhiran konsonan + Y, hilangkan Y, dan

tambahkan -IES.

 carry – carries

 study – studies

 worry – worries

 marry – marries

Sedangkan, untuk kata kerja yang berakhiran vokal + Y, cukup tambahkan -S.

 play – plays
 say – says

 enjoy – enjoys

The interrogative forms we usually use when making a daily activity sentence:
Contoh pertanyaan atau kata tanya yang biasa di gunakan untuk menunjukkan banyaknya
suatu kebiasaan di lakukan (frequently of habit) adalah:

1. How often do you have flag ceremony at school?

o I have flag ceremony once a week.

2. How often do you learn English at school?

o I learn English twice a week.

3. How often do you play badminton?

o I play badminton three times a week.

4. What time do you get up?

o I get up at 04.45.

5. What time do you pray?

o I pray at 05.50 to 05.05

6. What time do you have breakfast?

o I have breakfast at 6 o’clock.

 I usually wake up at 04.30 a.m in the morning (Saya biasanya bangun pada jam 04.30

Read these conversations carefully and repeat after your teacher!

 a) Budi : How often do you take a bath ? ( Berapa kali kamu mandi ?)
Ani : I take a bath twice a day. In the morning and in the evening. ( Saya mandi
dua kali sehari. Pada pagi hari dan sore hari.)
Budi : What time do you usually take a bath in the morning? ( Jam berapa biasanya
kamu mandi pada pagi hari ?)
Ani : I usually take a bath at 05.15. ( Saya biasanya mandi pukul 05.15 pagi hari).

b) Bara : What do you do after you get up in the morning? (Apa yang kamu
lakukan setelah kamu bangun tidur dipagi hari?)
Mira : After I get up, I wash my face, take wudhu then praying. (Setelah bangun
tidur, aku cuci muka, lalu ambil air wudhu dan sholat subuh.)
Bara : What else? (Apa lagi?)
Mira : I prepare my book. After it, I take a bath then I have breakfast. How about
you? (Aku menyiapkan buku, setelah itu, aku mandi kemudian sarapan. Kalau
kamu?)
Bara : After I get up, I always check my phone. Then after around five minutes, I go
to the bathroom and wash my face, take wudhu, and praying. After praying, I
watch cartoon on TV. At 6 o’clock, I take a bath and then I have breakfast.
They are not too different with you. (Setelah aku bangun, aku selalu mengecek
HPku. Kemudian setelah lima menitan, aku kekamar mandi untuk cuci muka,
ambil air wudhu dan sholat. Setelah sholat aku menonton kartun di TV. Pukul
6 tepat, aku mandi dan kemudian sarapan. Tidak terlalu beda denganmu,

Mira : Don’t you prepare the book? (Tidakkah kamu menyiapkan bukumu?)
Bara : I always prepare my book on the night before. (Aku selalu menyiapkan
bukunya dimalam sebelumnya.)
Mira : Great! (Bagus!)

c) Leli: "What are you doing after school San?"

Santi: "after coming home from school I immediately help my mother to prepare
food for lunch and then had lunch together. After that I had a nap and in the
afternoon I went to the Koran. "
Leli: "you're so diligent kid. When is your time to study."
Santi: "I usually study in the morning, around 3 am until dawn. If you?"
Leli: "Almost as much as you. After school I went straight from lunch and then

My Activity
I usually wake up at 5 o’clock in the morning. I never forget to tidy up my bed and
clean it up. Then I take a bath and pray. After that I help my mother to prepare the breakfast.
And then, I have breakfast with my family in the dining room. We usually have warm tea,
milk and fried rice. Then, I go to school with my friends. I study at school till 1 p.m. I go
home, put off my uniform and have lunch with my mother. After that I pray, watch TV and
take a nap. I always take a bath at 5 p.m. in the afternoon. Then I watch TV while waiting the
time for praying. After I pray, I and my family have lunch together. And then, I read a book
and prepare the lesson for the next school day. I go to bed at 9 p.m. That’s all my activity
starting from waking up till going to be. Thank you.

when he rides it. The school is near from his house. It takes fifteen minutes to get to
