ABSTRACT
Background: Rat pest control as a carrier vector for leptospirosis using vegetable
rodenticides is still not effective enough, but with the presence of toxic substances
in both gadung tubers and bintaro fruit, it is hoped that combining the two can
produce a new, more biodegradable rodenticide. effectively kill mice.
Objective: To determine the most effective concentration of gadung tuber and
bintaro fruit mixture as a vegetable rodenticide against rats
Methods: This study used the Quasi Experiment method with the Post Test Only
With Control Group Design. The research subjects were divided into two groups:
the group that was given a mixture of bintaro fruit and gadung tuber (the treatment
group) and the group that was not given a mixture of bintaro fruit and gadung tuber
(the control group). The research sample was Rattus Novergicus rats totaling 48
rats. Data analysis using Two-Way Anova.
Results: 25% concentration of the mixture gave the highest number of rat deaths
with rates up to 75%. The difference in taste and smell at a higher concentration of
the mixture caused the rats to no longer consume all the pellets at the mixed
concentration of 30% and 40% so that the number of rat deaths was less than the
mixed concentration of 25%. The results of the calculation of the Two Way Anova
test obtained a significance value of 0.007, which indicates a significance value of
less than 0.05 so that it can be concluded that the difference in the mean rat
mortality between variations of gadung tuber and bintaro fruit mixtures is
statistically significant and it can be interpreted that the rodenticide variation has
an effect on mouse death
Conclusion: The most effective concentration of a mixture of gadung tuber and
bintaro fruit as a vegetable rodenticide is a concentration of 25%.

ABSTRAK
Latar Belakang : Pengendalian hama tikus sebagai vektor pembawa dalam
penyakit leptospirosis dengan menggunakan rodentisida nabati masih belum cukup
efektif akan tetapi dengan adanya kandungan zat racun yang dimiliki baik dalam
umbi gadung maupun buah bintaro, maka diharapkan dengan penggabungan
keduanya bisa menghasilkan sebuah rodentisida nabati baru yang lebih efektif
membunuh tikus.
Tujuan : Mengetahui konsentrasi campuran umbi gadung dan buah bintaro yang
paling efektif sebagai rodentisida nabati terhadap tikus
Metode : Penelitian ini menggunakan metoda Quasi Eksperiment dengan
rancangan Post Test Only With Control Group Design. Subjek penelitian dibagi
menjadi dua kelompok yaitu kelompok yang diberi campuran buah bintaro dan
umbi gadung (kelompok perlakuan) serta kelompok yang tidak diberi campuran
buah bintaro dan umbi gadung (kelompok kontrol). Sampel penelitian adalah tikus
Rattus Novergicus berjumlah 48 ekor tikus. Analisis data menggunakan Two-Way
Anova.
Hasil : Konsentrasi campuran 25% memberikan jumlah kematian tikus tertinggi
dengan angka hingga 75%. Perbedaan rasa dan bau pada konsentrasi campuran
yang lebih besar konsentrasinya menyebabkan tikus tidak lagi mengkonsumsi
semua pellet di konsentrasi campuran 30% dan 40% sehingga jumlah kematian
tikus lebih sedikit dibandingkan konsentrasi campuran 25%. Hasil perhitungan uji
Two Way Anova diperoleh nilai signifikansi sebesar 0.007, yang menunjukkan
nilai signifikansi lebih kecil dari 0.05 sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada
perbedaan rerata kematian tikus di antara variasi campuran umbi gadung dan buah
bintaro adalah signifikan secara statistik serta dapat diinterpretasikan bahwa variasi
rodentisida tersebut berpengaruh terhadap kematian tikus
Kesimpulan : Konsentrasi campuran umbi gadung dan buah bintaro yang paling
efektif adalah konsentrasi sebesar 25%.
