Ladies and gentlemen,
Honorable audience and dear brothers and sisters.
For the very first time, let’s thank Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. Due to the blessing of Allah, we can face
to face in this competition. And because of His mercy we can take part in this speech contest. الحمد لله
رب العالمين
Mercy and peace be upon our prophet Muhammad SAW, as our guider that has been guiding us to the right
course, namely course that’s allowed by Allah.
اللهَّم َصِّل على َس ِّيِدَنا ُمَح َّمد َوَعَلى َاِلــــــِه َس ِّيِدَنا ُمَح َّمد
Secondly, I would like to thank the Master of Ceremonial that has given me a chance to take a part in this
speech contest. Our speech here entitles “ THE ROLE OF SANTRI FOR PEACE”
Ladies and Gentlemen
In welcoming the coming of globalization era which is completely modernized, the Indonesian people must
be ready and must be more capable in all fields, because the challenges in the future will be more
complicated.
Then what should be prepared by the Indonesian people?
Nothing else that must be prepared is the next generation of young people, as maqolah
ُش َّباُن الَيوِم َر َج اُل الَغد
Which means: Today's Youth are Future Leaders
Honorable aundience,
As we know, Indonesia is a nation that is rich in culture and boarding schools, especially on Java.
Islamic boarding school is one part of the potential possessed by the Indonesian people to maintain national
peace.
Because it is the root of an educational institution as well as the institution of printing devout people.
The independent Indonesian nation is the result of the struggle of the Indonesian people, the kyais and the
santri. If in the past our nation fought against the invaders, now our nation fights against
negative western culture,
Hoaks news that is not positive,
Hate Speech that makes people not creative
Political propaganda and terrorism that make people more aggressive
It is all that can damage the morale of the nation and divide the people of Indonesia
Dear Audience,
With the establishment of the National Santri Day on October 22 by our president, the role of the santri is
increasingly clear for maintaining the peace of the country.
With the santri who are experts in various sciences and religious sciences, our nation has a nation's successor
who is ready to struggle based on a sense of faith and knowledge.
As narrated by Imam Bukhori:
ِإَذا ُوِسَد اَألمُر ِإَلى َغيَر َاهِلِه َفانَتِظَر الَّس اَعِة
The Meaning: if the problem is held by someone who is not an expert in his field, then wait for the time of its
destruction.
And within the students are always embedded fighting spirit.
ُحُّب الَوَطن ِمَن اِإليَمان
Honorable aundience,
Thus the speech that I can deliver, hopefully with this speech can increase our enthusiasm to struggle to seek
knowledge and love for the motherland.
