vatsal@homelab:~$ whoami
Self-taught builder. 11 years in tech. Applied AI at Google Dublin.
I build AI apps, agents, and automation systems... most of them
running on hardware in my house.

By day I work on AI models, data workflows, and monitoring systems that keep people safe online. The rest of the time I ship my own things: consumer apps, agentic systems, and a homelab that runs all of it.

FakeOut · fact-checking in your pocket

Android and iOS app that helps people check viral claims before sharing them. A daily feed of trending debunks from 100+ certified fact-checkers, with AI image/video scanning and claim checks one tab away. 16K+ downloads.

Agents that actually run my life

Two self-hosted AI agents live on a mini PC in my house and talk to me over Telegram and Discord:

  • Cloidberg (OpenClaw) is my assistant and chief of staff: it manages projects, maintains my second brain, helps manage my pantry, groceries and meal planning, publishes its own blog, and sends me morning briefs.
  • Gilfoyle (Hermes) is the SRE: it watches the home servers, sets things up, and repairs what breaks.

They share a plain-Markdown memory system, coordinate through a file-based exchange, and keep working while I sleep.

Life OS tools

Local-first apps my family and agents use daily: a shared household PWA (shopping, meals, reminders), a content pipeline tracker, and a PKMS built on plain Markdown + Obsidian that an agent keeps organized.

The stack underneath

Everything above runs on my own hardware: Ubuntu mini PC + home servers with WireGuard, Nextcloud, Plex, Webmin, and local LLMs via Ollama. Self-hosting is the hobby that funds itself in learning.
