Introduce yourself
Hello GitHub community! ππ
Iβm Ricky Foster, an independent developer and systems architect and have spent the last year developing open-source solutions with AI.
Mainly been exploring how technology can help solve real-world humanitarian, environmental, educational, and societal challenges.
Much of this work has been developed through rapid prototyping, and interdisciplinary systems thinking.
Iβm here to learn, exchange ideas, welcome constructive criticism, and connect with developers who enjoy turning ambitious concepts into practical, reliable tools.

I would genuinely appreciate community feedback on what works, what doesnβt, and what could be done better.

Where are you in your GitHub journey?
Maintaining a project or repo owner
And where are you going next on GitHub?
My long-term objective is to connect these independent projects into a coherent, interoperable ecosystem of open-source tools that communities, educators, researchers, developers, and humanitarian organizations can adapt to their own needs.
One major direction is the Earth Intelligence Engine: an experimental framework for combining evidence, geographic information, regenerative interventions, and decision-support tools to help communities identify problems, evaluate solutions, and coordinate measurable improvements.
Near-term priorities include:
Iβm particularly interested in finding out which projects deserve further development, which existing technologies I should integrate rather than reinvent, and where architectural improvements could deliver the greatest benefit.
The goal isnβt simply to produce more software. Itβs to make the software increasingly useful, verifiable, maintainable, and accessible.
Iβd welcome suggestions, code reviews, alternative approaches, or collaboration from anyone interested in helping shape that direction.
What technical skills or projects are you working on?
My primary development focus is accessible, modular, browser-based software, with substantial use of AI-assisted engineering and iterative prototyping.
Technologies and areas Iβm working with:
Some projects Iβd particularly welcome feedback on:
π± Food Commons OS: https://github.com/regenerative-architect/food_commons_os
π Regenerative Peace Bridges: https://github.com/regenerative-architect/regenerative_peace_bridges
π οΈ Feature Fusion Foundry: https://github.com/regenerative-architect/feature_fusion_foundry
Iβm especially interested in feedback concerning code quality, architecture, security, performance, documentation, maintainability, accessibility, and how to make these tools easier for other developers to contribute to.
Many repositories are experimental prototypes rather than production-ready systems, and independent review would be extremely valuable.
If you were reviewing this portfolio, what would you improve first?
Iβm open to constructive criticism, pull requests, collaboration, and recommendations for existing projects or standards worth adopting.
Thanks for taking a look! π
