is there someone real person to handle support issue? |
|
i don't know brother, Github takes too long |

I had a nearly identical issue (it looks like it was the same malicious campaign in both cases) on October 6th. I have yet to hear back a response to my ticket either. It appears the attacker is exploiting github's poor ticket resolution time by intentionally triggering the auto-suspension so that the malicious uploads are more difficult to remove. I pinged github staff on a discussion, but got only a copy pasted response indicating that they only respond through tickets (although it seems that this takes over 4 weeks at least since I have yet to receive a response) |

I suspect a token leaked (I had two factor authentication on as well) since I did have some very broad access tokens, though I guess technically I don't know for sure. I assume that is also how your account was compromised. |

Hi everyone,
I'm really hoping someone from GitHub or the community can help me with this situation.
It's been over a month since I lost access to my GitHub account. I've contacted GitHub Support, raised multiple tickets, and sent emails, but unfortunately, I haven't received any response or resolution so far.
My account seems to have been compromised and subsequently suspended. I only recently figured out what had happened, and now my username, gihanpunarji, is nowhere to be found on GitHub.
What makes this situation even more frustrating is that I had all the recommended security measures enabled on my account. Despite that, someone managed to gain access. I also discovered that, shortly before the incident, the attacker had pushed commits containing offensive messages to some of my repositories. I've attached screenshots of some of the commit notification emails as evidence.
I've spent 7 years building projects, contributing to repositories, and maintaining my work on GitHub. Losing access to everything overnight has been devastating. It's not just about losing an account or some code. I also had live projects serving real customers, and now those projects and their associated repositories are inaccessible.
I genuinely don't know what else to do at this point. I've tried reaching out through the proper support channels, but after more than a month without any meaningful response, I'm feeling completely helpless.
I'm not asking for anything unreasonable. I just want my situation properly investigated and, if possible, my account restored. I would really appreciate it if someone from GitHub could look into this or help escalate my case to the appropriate team.

Thank you.
