I'm trying to create my GitHub profile README repository (
f*********i/f*********i) from my GitHub account.I expected GitHub to allow me to create the repository because the GitHub mobile app shows the repository name
f*********ias available. It seems the mobile app's availability check is inconsistent with the actual repository creation restrictions.
I've attached screenshots showing the repository name marked as available in the mobile app, the creation failure, and the different error messages on GitHub Desktop and the website.
Evidence & Screenshots
1. GitHub Mobile App
The mobile app shows the repository name as available, but fails when attempting to create it.
2. GitHub Desktop
GitHub Desktop explicitly reports that the repository name has been retired and cannot be reused.
3. GitHub Website
The website also marks the repository name as unavailable.
