Established Support Engineer with a speciality in enterprise systems debugging, security and production code. Bsc IT Management and Business.
I've worked on GitHub’s Enterprise Support team for over 5 1/2 years, where I lead complex technical escalations, contribute production code and build internal tooling. I’m drawn to judgment-intensive work: tracing failures across distributed production systems, weighing security and rollout risks, separating evidence from assumptions, and turning ambiguous technical findings into clear, actionable guidance for customers.
| Enterprise platform engineering | Diagnose and operate complex hosted and on-premises systems, including upgrades, clustering, backups, high availability, and capacity planning |
| API and integration architecture | Investigate and improve REST and GraphQL integrations, authentication flows, permissions, webhooks, token lifecycles, and rate-limit behavior |
| Production observability | Reconstruct incidents from Kusto/KQL, distributed traces, structured logs, and telemetry across multiple services |
| Systems troubleshooting | Trace failures through Linux environments, networks, application services, and resource constraints using Bash, SSH, and production diagnostics |
| Reliability and security | Evaluate failure modes, authorization boundaries, rollout risks, and operational tradeoffs before recommending or shipping changes |
| Technical leadership | Lead complex escalations, separate evidence from assumptions, communicate clearly with customers, and turn ambiguous findings into actionable engineering work |
I hold a BSc in IT Management for Business from Glasgow Caledonian University and certifications in Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900), GitHub Foundations, and GitHub Actions. I am currently working toward Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) and CompTIA Linux+. This combination of business, cloud, platform, and systems knowledge helps me connect customer impact with technical evidence and deliver practical, well-reasoned solutions.
