Im currently working on a prototype that will use a new ADIOS model that has a name of a column, the name of model the column is in, the user's ID and a flag if the column is shown or hidden.

The current version adds a check to the describeColumn method.
The check firstly returns an array with all the columns and the show/hide flag from the new ADIOS model and then it checks if specific columns are not hidden by the current user.

1. Is the new model necessary? Why not use the existing Config model? Then, in describeTable, you could easily us the model's getConfigAsArray() method.
2. Don't forget - there can be many tables showing one model. Eg. main table for leads and leads shown in the customer form. This should be distinguished.
