Lots of changes planned for CODES to improve build/CI/testing, improve the code to make it easier to develop new features and maintain, and a new, more user-friendly config format.
I did plan this with the help of Claude. Hopefully my own review of this caught any hallucinations, but I also don't know everything in CODES, so I could have missed something.
The refactoring will be broken into phases and will support backwards compatibility (e.g., old config format will remain available for at least 1 or 2 releases). Happy for any feedback or to answer any questions.
