THE VERBS ‘VOULOIR’, ‘POUVOIR’ AND ‘DEVOIR’.

The grid shows you how to vouloir want

In these examples there are two verbs in the sentence and that the second verb is
in the infinitive.
ADJECTIVES.

In French, adjectives agree with the thing or person(s) they are describing. Most
adjectives add -e in the feminine and -s or -es in the plural, depending on
whether the noun is masculine or feminine.

Use the expressions PLUS + ADJECTIVE + QUE or MOINS + ADJECTIVE + QUE to

make comparisons.
e.g. Le tee-shirt est plus cher que la chemise = The t-shirt is more expensive than the
shirt.
Le tee-shirt est moins cher que la chemise = The t-shirt s less expensive than the
shirt.
THE PERFECT TENSE.

Most verbs use J’ai in the perfect tense :

J’ai joué = I played

The verb ‘aller’ is different.

Je suis allé(e) = I went (and add an extra ‘e’ for a girl.)
