Un redresseur à onde complète est deux fois plus efficace qu'un redresseur à demi-onde, avec une efficacité maximale atteignant 81,2 % pour le redresseur à pont. Les redresseurs peuvent être de type demi-onde ou onde complète, chacun ayant des caractéristiques et des performances différentes.
